Doom Trot

Like 2017 could possibly be worse.

They say the eyes are the window to the soul. Even when those eyes have a little trouble looking back at you.

Diamond Tiara has a long history of inconsequential bullying. One insult to a certain pony, however, was enough to turn almost everypony in Ponyville against her.

There was something to this... I don't think Diamond Tiara really understood any of what transpired. The ending showed her at a crossroads: she could have an epiphany about how her actions truly affect other ponies, or she could continue down the same road she's always traveled. Perhaps shrugging the whole thing off means that things go back to the status quo, although it could also be a postponement of eventual character growth. Twilight optimistically sees the hope spot in it all.

6042267 At that moment, SA was teleported to Equestria and was forced to apologize.

6042929 Just twilight?

IWTCIRD

Okay. I read this, and I'm feeling a bit unfulfilled. I was expecting... I don't know what exactly. I'm not saying it's bad or anything, because it's not, it just feels like there's an unfinished aspect to it. It feels like the other shoe hasn't yet dropped. Was that deliberate because real life so rarely gives us a conclusion to unfolding story lines, and we're left to make our own endings?

And what about the book that was thrown at Diamond Tiara? Who was responsible for that?

So basically, Diamond Tiara gets hit on the head hard enough to cause some temporary amnesia because she can barely remember anything about it, gets mad and yells at someone for nearly causing someone serious harm even if she went for a low blow, and as a result gets kidnapped with her fathers consent and carried along in a bouncing sack.

What the hell? :facehoof: I know Derpy is a fandom thing but at the same time Christ man.

Not bad, I think DT learned her lesson on that department.... now on to the 15 or so others... lol

Sheesh.

I know this was supposed to be emotional, or whatever, but Pinkie was hilarious here.

Of course you didn't, Sweetie Belle. You're a damn unicorn. AB sure learned well how to lie without lying, mighty fine role model there.

You know, I almost expected this story to end with an indignant Derpy getting in the mane 6's face (minus Fluttershy, and maybe Rarity?) for actually considering her a "disabled pony" and that Diamond mostly said something out of pain and fleeting anger at being hurt by that box with a type of "idiot" or something "derp brain" and that Derpy just overreacted because she goofed up.

Pinkie Pie, love her rants. Not sure why people don't like it when she goes on her tangent observations on stuff. Way to make a nice statement there.

Nice story. Though DT better start un-abandoning learning or she's going to get in a lot of trouble in the very near future by her pops and teacher.

6043926 The story was written specifically to leave the issue unresolved. Diamond Tiara apologized, but I chose not to determine whether or not she actually learned anything from it. Canonically, Diamond Tiara's character has been sparsely defined. Canon has established that she's a bully, which is a good starting place for this story. However, she's never really been made to learn from her mistakes, so I can't say for certain if she'd actually grow from this type of experience or just shake it off and return to her old ways.

Also, canon has demonstrated that Sweetie Belle has steadily improved her magical abilities. Doesn't prove that she threw it, but chances are nopony else in that classroom could have.

Scary Pinkie is scary. Who needs some ooc garbage Pinkamena character when not-evil Pinkie is terrifying enough? :pinkiehappy:

Ok 1 good deed STILL everything else she needs TO DIE OK GOOD

Everyone in this story except DT = The Brony fandom whenever Derpy gets picked on.

An angry pack of Mama bears if ever I saw one.
