Soarin of the Wonderbolts finds himself in an unfortunate situation. Attacked while traveling home, he is imprisoned in a land far from home in the hands of a curious mare. Soarin must find a way to escape and return to safety, despite new circumstances arising.

Meanwhile, an imposter takes Soarin's place, but finds himself questioning his decisions as he discovers friendship and even love amongst normal ponies. Soon this imposter must make a choice, which will affect his future and perhaps Equestria's.
