Tends to happen when somebody tries to reprogram your mind, hijacks and steals your body, then attempts enforced suicide on you. Oh and murders a beloved friend, but then he was supposed to die anyways. And yes, there's plenty of great books that explore the concept of body swapping forced, normal, and societal. Would actually be a bit more interesting if the future plan for the full conversion Republic models is the elimination of bodily identity in this fashion. I mean Theremin already was starting down this path. Could be something interesting to allow the development of their characters through repeated deaths and destruction of the shell, only for them to lose the local nodes as it were. Equality through everyone being able to have the same body. Identity through the mass melding of conscious thought. Sounds a bit like some of the Stalinist government plans in Russia, and later thoughts people made on their research into psychic phenomena. Also lots and lots of good fiction, like STALKER.

7571244 thanks. Ya, I do miss the tunnal crawling a bit, but the idea was basically the MC going to each island, and dealing with the situation there. The big Island is more survival Horror, Pineapple Island is all bissness, Vally Island is 1984 cyberpunk, Friendship Island is military Staable-Tec, then the Gathering Island, which I'll be visiting when I get back to the story.
