I haven't read the whole story so far, just skimmed it, but Just so I'm clear; on a scale of one to human, exactly what level of anthro did you imagine when writing this? Using these as an example, and judging from your use of certain words, I would guess around a three? Though I think it could technically fit anywhere between a two with hands and a four.
Sorry if this is more thoroughly explained anywhere and I missed it. I like to have a visual in mind for when I'm trying to imagine the story playing out.

5934631 In my personal experience, twins sometimes celebrate their birthdays on separate days instead of all at once on the same day. It's so that they can be acknowledged individually for their special day, instead of it being summarized in just one big swoop. At least, that's my take.
