Spiral really has no idea what they're doing and they hope you like what you're reading.

Oh, it's incomplete. Means that we will have something more to read. Nice!

Oh, I will be back for this.

Edit: Oh I cannot wait for more.

Welp, that was awesome. I'll admit I was worried the whole time this would turn tragic as she accidentally crushed thousands, but thankfully, this stayed fun and sexy without getting dark.

LOVED her looming over entire cities, her body beyond comprehension for all cities below.

Really happy to see this is marked as "Incomplete."

Incomplete, YES! ^^

Please, make more, this is golden.

I repeat what those have said before i will be watching and waiting for updates. favourited and liked.

Another awesome chapter. Loved the little asides, like how each follicle of fur could carry its own settlement, or how the ear canal was more vast than the pits of Tartaurus.

And no casualties! That was a nice surprise.

Don't worry, there are a few more chapters left.

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.

NEW CHAPTER! YEAH!
Awesome like I expected !!
you rule!:rainbowkiss:

why do I imagined Luna looking like this ? (when she finally get something big enough to wear)

That actually works, if they can get something her size!

6708963 I figured so. It matches the description from your story and Luna herself. Just thought about sharing.

6708963 Clouds are tangible to pegasi and alicorns, maybe she can work with that. If there arent enough, she could use her own breath in a cold climate to make more. Just be careful not to melt the glaciers and flood the world. Same goes for dreaming about cake.

6840883 Soo its like a "cloud-bra"? That sounds both silly and cool.

6855191 Desperate times call for desperate measures, and it doesnt have to work

6856403 I find it hard to believe perverted pegasus wont try to hide in those clouds. But given her size (even though its never especified, it seems to be around atmosphire level) I find it hard that its not risk for their own lives (since they might suffocate, Luna just doesnt because she is goddess, maybe)

6840883, 6858674

I can definitely get behind this idea, and it could appear in the story in the future!

6862883 Very glad to hear from you again. And I find it funny you actually found something interesting in our talk! :derpytongue2:
If I ever see that in any future chapter, I will say " Oh, Jesus, what had I done?:pinkiegasp:"
Thanks for the reply either way.

6858674 In one of his comments, spiral said that shes around 100 miles tall. The atmosphere Ends at around 10 miles, at least on our earth so even when laying flat on the ground so certain parts of her might still poke out even then, but the ponies live in a world where the sun Orbits the earth, so Things might work differently there, or maybe alicorns naturally have their own air-bubble around them (that would explain, why Luna was heard yelling while Standing up and didnt notice the vacuum or at least very thin air around her).

Anyway, the Thing with the pegasi inside the clouds would be an interesting idea for one of These lower-deck-Episodes ive wanted since i read the line about "the entirety of the globe adjusting to the appearance of the largest living Thing ever" since she wouldnt just Change the geography of the planet and force some villages to relocate just to make a place for her to sleep, she would also affect politics, the climate, the ecosystem, tourism (would like to read a story about ponies visiting the lunar valley) and many more Things. For example blimps would replace Trains as Primary means of Transportation, since the railways would be in danger of being destroyed, and lunas hoofprints would be 5 miles wide obstacles (thanks Google for finding me a gts calculator) not to mention the place she will sleep in (100+ miles Long and around 50 miles wide or so, depending on her proportions). blimps could just fly over those imprints, unless shes currently sleeping them, so she would have to move sometimes, or otherwise equestria would be cut off from the countries on the other side of lunas bed.

Now that i think about it, 6 months after the growth, Luna is already used to moving around at her size, and there are already hoofprints all over the place she can use to get around without having to fear of stepping on a City, but when she has to move to her "bed" for the first time she has no practise yet and no such indicators on where to step, so it might get down to giant Version of Twister to get there which will be fun (of Course a large enough area has bee found and evacuated first, which might take some time, not to mention they had to try to guess her size first, hopefully she doesnt get a muscle cramp while trying to stay still the whole time) And speaking of guessing: I cant wait till her first medical exam! There are many types of growth and to reverse the effects they have to figure out what happened first: cellular growth (rapid cell duplication or just bigger cells) or molecular growth as in bigger Atoms or a Change in distance between the Atoms (like in the honey i shrunk the Kids franchise). Also combinations of all those types are also possible and the composition might Change over time, either through failed attempts of shrinking her, or just because her Body adapts to her new size (like, when the first growth only enlarged her Body cells without increasing their number, those giant cells might divide into smaller cells over time, in case of her Retina and Skin cells, this might improve her senses extremely)

6870767 Idk if he meant that she literally is 100 miles (unless Spiral confirms that). And from the looks of it, her growth seemed to had been triggered by both a growth and teleport spell since she disappeared and then re-appeared (if she had grown right there and there, Canterlot would of been destroyed in the process since her growth was seemingly instantanious) and SOMEHOW didnt flattered anyone or anything in the process, soo her growth was magical, it wasnt a mutation or science experiement. Soo a good way to fix her would do the same process (though it would either shrink her to normal, shrink her too much or make her grow soo much her weight would destroy the planet itself) but the original story said that any attempts made her even larger soo I guess its not a mystery over they fix her or not. (maybe Spiral will make a sequel to the original after the prequel is done).
I doubt that things would realistically stay okay for very long, not everyone would be akin with a Luna that big (but its not like anyone can harm her at this state, at least not in any natural way).
But overall, I think we are probably looking too deep into it (and given Spiral is having either a writer's block or thinking over dropping it altogether, I doubt that this story will get to this point of details.)
But at least the chapters he made are still cool to read (This is kind of the growth equivalent of Dust soo both parties are happy, especially me, being a fan of BOTH series. Kind of makes me wonder if they are even set on the same universe, Dust would be pretty much invisible to Luna.)
Overall, this is fun to talk about. Its been a while since I had a nice interesting chat with anyone from this site, especially this type of story.

6871899 But Luna grew because of what is essentially a botched (magical) science Experiment, as Magic (at least in a world where the functional Magic Trope applies, like mlp, Steven universe, eragon, hunter x hunter or Fullmetal alchemist or eternal darkness) is a type of science ( in the Fallout equestria -verse the ministry of Magic was also known as the ministry of arcane sciences).
At least it follows the laws of physics of equestria (except maybe discords Magic), as Magic in that world is part of nature, and thus is not supernatural like in ours (or like the Magic in Fairly odd parents, which doesnt follow any rules, or if it does, they Change the rules to match the plot of the episode).
twilight refused several times to believe in "supernatural" Things like ghosts, curses or pinkie sense, she only believes in Things that can be scientifically proven, like biology, physics or Magic.
There was even that EG short titled "the science of Magic" where Sunset tried to figure out, what the rules for magic in the human world are.
One of the most common laws of physics in magical universes is the conservation of mass and energy, also known as the law of equivalent exchange.
For example, Eragon once tried to turn a few crumbs of dirt into something else, and while it is possible to rearrange the protons, neutrons and electrons into another chemical element, it took way to much magical power, and creating matter out of energy was even harder. He then found an easier way to achieve his goal (to get gold to pay his debts) by extracting trace amounts of gold from the earth around him. When they found an ancient cave full of eldunaris (brains in jars) which couldnt do anything for centuries, but talk to each other, and when they ran out of topics, they eventually started to discuss quantum physics, which they used to write a spell, that creates a small dimensional pocket, so eragon could carry all of them to the final battle with whats-his-face. And after they beat the bad guy, he cast a spell, thats supposed to turn himself into „nothing“ which is physically impossible, even with magic, due to the law of conservation of mass but according to Einsteins E=mc^2 matter can be turned into energy, but eragon realizes this due to his gold-creating experiments and manages to raise a powerful shield spell just in time to block the resulting nuclear explosion.
The conservation of mass problem aka the law of equivalent exchange seems also to work in Steven universe, as the holodeck of Rose was unable to conjure real physical objects like food. And the humanoid bodies of the gems, as well as their weapons arent really matter either, but are described as holograms with mass, basically they work the same way the doctor from startrek voyager (especially after he gets his portable projection badge thingy, that allows him to leave the sickbay). Even pearls copy wand cant create real matter, as the copies of dave poofed the same way the gems bodies do, once the wand was destroyed.
In Eternal darkness, there are summoning spells, but instead of creating matter out of nothing, the zombies are called from another dimension, there is also the trapper dimension, which can be used to dump certain obstacles that block your way. The games also employ the conservation of energy rule, so while there is a spell to restore magick instantly, its practically useless, as it restores the same amount of magick as it uses up. It is however possible to cast a magick pool spell, which similiar to the spirit bomb draws in energy from the suroundings, but it takes a while
It is to the creator to decide, if the magic in the story follows scientific rules or can do anything, but considering how spiral wrote dust mites stories, i think he likes scientific magic too, as dusts mother is basically a shrink-scientist. And even though she already shrunk a gaming console for dust, she still had trouble shrinking a walkie talkie down to his size, which makes sense, as a console works on its own, while the walkie talkie needs its normal sized counterpart to work. That meant that the smaller unit still had to output a signal strong enough to be picked up by the larger unit over a (relatively speaking) extremely large distance, without frying itself.
But back to Lunas growth: I never said, that she didnt teleport. But just like with growth, there are different types of teleportation. The most obvious one is de- and reconstruction, like in star trek, but even then stuff can go wrong. In one episode they tried to beam piccard and a few others out of a shuttle that was stuck inside a strange cloud (kinda like luna) and the cloud prevented the scanners to pick up their data correctly. It cought their dna, but not some other stuff inside the cells, that determines someones biological age, causing them to be rematerialized as children. Another example is that clichee, when you try to teleport two beings at the same time, their dna gets mixed up, usually when a fly enters the teleporter, which results in them getting their heads switched.
Another type of teleportation is, when a person or object, is not deconstructed, but instead moves throuh a wormhole or another dimension or whatever, like Gokus instant transmission in the second cooler movie, or any teleportation in the harry potter universe (when they used a port-key as a group, they kept bumping into each other the whole time they were dragged through that alternate dimension by that shoe… it makes sense in context).
Now that i think about it, this story is kinda similiar to the season 3 finale: Twilight and Luna were both caught in a magical explosion (from the elements/the exploding potion) and seemingly disappeared, only to reappear later as an alicorn/a giantess respectively. In Twilights case, she spent a couple of minutes with celestia in that starry place, and while we dont know about luna, there was a time gap (shorter than twilights, considering there was no song, but still) between her leaving her clothes behind and the earthquake from her reappearance, so she might have traveled through an alternate dimension. and we know, those exist in the mlp multiverse: like the dreamworld, the comic-book-world, the place where breezies live (maybe) and the alicorn plane where celestia keeps her video collection. in HxH there is a guy, who has a portal-ability, which he uses to access a storage-place inside „nen-space“, so why cant there be some sort of „magic-space“?
So Luna could have grown during both types of teleport, either instant by rematerializing as a giant, or by expanding while traveling through another Dimension. The alternate Dimension could also explain, where her additional mass came from. And if shes still connected to that place, it could explain why she keeps growing: She created a leak, causing energy to leak into her, and everytime they fail to cure her they cause the crack to widen, kinda like when rainbow in the maredowell Episode tried to stop the leak in the damn dam, by pressing her hoof against it, causing it to burst.

Also none of the stuff i posted last time was supposed to serve as a finite solution to the problem, it was meant as a ways for the ponies to TRY to fix her, as dumping random shrinkpotions/-spells on her untill one works would be pretty boring, and considering she grew due to careless magic/potion mixing in the first place, extremely stupid .
And even if you have a solution, that sounds foolproof on paper, there always the chance that you missed something. For example: Sunsets plan of gaining controll of the element of magic, made (contrary to popular believes) actually sense!
As Celestia (or was it cadence?) said: The other elements have no power on their own, while the element of magic, clearly still has magic, after being seperated from the others. Implying that ist the sole source of power of the elements. That is why ist called the element of magic, not the element of friendship or whatever, as it only contains raw magic, thats neither good, nor evil, like the triforce. The other elements provide no power, they only provide guidance, they are kinda like the spiritiual stones, or the keys to unlock „the foot“ in Pixars Inside Out. By bringing the crown to another world, sunset severed the connection, thus she was able to use it, although with out the other elements regulating the power, she wasnt able to handle it.
Her plan only failed because the elements had, what i first presumed to be a hidden failsafe, but after the third movie it looks like it was more of an effect of the different magical laws of physic.
And just like that, every plan to cure Luna can backfire, no matter how well thought out it is.
For example, there are two different kind of spell effects: temporary ones and permanent ones:
When AJ shrunk due to poison joke, they didnt need a growth potion, they just needed to neutralize the poison joke-spores on her, and her size returned to normal, as the changes had to be actively maintained by the plants magic, while the changes made by rarity while under the effect of inspiration manifestation remained, even after the magic was neutralized, forcing twilight and the other princesses to manually turn gold back into dirt, meaning it was a permanent transformation.
But lets assume they hadnt learned about poison joke, and twilight had tried to return Aj back to normal with a growth potion, the poison joke would have either turned her small again, or caused another random effect.
But theres no reason, why Lunas growth cant be both at the same time. Meaning, that if they try to shrink her down, the magic inside her will fight back, and if they only neutralize that magic, she will still stay giant. In case of the later, it could turn out, that the magic was what allowed her to avoid the effects of the square-cubic law, meaning that, if they manage to somehow neutralize the magic in her, she will be (almost) crushed by her own weight, of course the effect will not be immediately, but happens as a delayed reaction at the worst possible moment, like, while taking another stroll, right when shes above the largest concentration of towns on the planet, so she will have to try really hard to reach a safe place to crash, before her strength leaves her completely.
And if they shrink her down, after they neutralized all the macro-magic, they are still not in the clear, cause it could turn out, that her body got used to the strange magic, she had in herself for several months, and starts producing the same magic again on its own. And if they manage to prevent that, there could still be other stuff happening, for example it could turn out, that when she raised the moon as a giantess, she accidently infused it with some of her growth magic, which will flow back into her, the next time she tries to raise it. (could make a cool chapter on its own, Gigaluna trying to controll the now relatively smaller moon, without flinging it out of the solar system, which she had to do, cause if she doesnt use magic in regular intervalls, her magic could build up over time, causing her to grow even bigger, without any botched shrink-experiment).
And if they try to shrink her, without disabling the Growth-magic first, of course she could shoot right back up. Or just like the poison joke, the magic could try to find another way to manifest itself. For example, if they manage to shrink her down and keep her small, it could turn out, that she still possesses her giantess strength, (both magical and physical) causing her to break stuff. Meanwhile, if the magic in prohibited to make her bigger, it could make her denser. Like her sinking into the floor due to her weight. And if they fix that, by, i dunno, using a variation of the cloudwalk spell, to counteract that problem, her density could still increase indefinitely untill she gets her own gravity field, so they HAVE to make her big again to avoid creating a black hole. Of course shell be bigger than ever before. And for good measure, one of the density-reducing spells, that didnt work earlier decides to kick in at just the wrong moment, causing Gigaluna to become TOO LIGHT, meaning shell float on top of the atmosphere for a little while, before crashing back down, meaning shell have to teleport in time to avoid destroying the planet (again) of course they cant figure out when that will happen, so she cant fall asleep in the meantime.
Not to mention all the shenanigans she can get into during her all too short visit in the world of the tinies, like you mentioned: one of the villains she hurt as a giantess, could try to take revenge, not knowing she has temporary superstrength. For example Chrysalis, after all, Luna can only avoid stepping on populated areas she knows about, but if the changelings have a secret base in an otherwise uninhabited part of equestria, and dont tell Gigaluna to not step/sit on them… (could make another cool chapter all on its own, especially if written from Chryssies POV).
Another possible side effect of trying to shrink her would be, if they try to push the excess mass into a pocket dimension, thats what they use in the Animorphs series so change size, and they had once an adventure, where, when they turned into mosquitos, the remaining 99,9% of their bodymass was stored in Z-space, a ship passed by in that dimension and dragged them along to another planet, where they had an adventure, before their connection to their mosquito bodies flung them back through Z-space back to earth, like a rubber band, where they find, that no time has passed in the meantime. Someting like that could happen to luna too, like if the pocket dimension created, cant handle her mass, and some of it spills into another universe, like the one from the awakened monolith (either discharging into the Luna of that universe, or forming another slightly smaller luna), alowing them to finally fight.

Speaking of Crossovers: For the pegasi trying to hide in the cloud-bra, it would be interesting, if Cloud Towers, or an alternate universe version of her, were among the guards, trying to get them off of Luna. It could give her a little insight into her brothers life, if shes the small one for a change.
