Well, I liked it.
It's just like Twilight to get worked up over a strand of hair, though I expected to be more nervous. Still, it was enjoyable, and I'll definitely read the rest.

Also, this made me laugh, for some reason:

She was almost positive that the mare was straight when meeting her. Then again, that was before her alicornification.

Who would have thought that alicornification gave you a gase of the gays?

Are you missing a sentence here? Something like

Eventually, her hair was finished. She slipped into the dress. Enrique said it was more casual. That was good. She didn't want this to look like a royal outing, but rather visiting a friend. Or, at least, a long-time acquaintance.
