Throughout Equestria, ponies cherish the unique symbols upon their rumps, which boldly represent their special talents and life long passions.
However, for a select few, gaining their cutie marks and realising what makes them special has caused nothing but heart ache and despair. It is these ponies who form the cutie markless; a group lead by Starlight Glimmer - a powerful unicorn with the ability to remove a ponies cutie mark, and replace it with one which represents nothing but equality.
So who exactly are these ponies? And why did they decide to give up something as precious as their individuality?

You must have thought very hard about this because it makes so much sense! I was really drawn into Party Favor's thoughts and could clearly picture everything he was describing. I cannot wait for the next chapters. Well done!

I'm assuming each chapter is going to be a different one of the markless ponies? This set up actually reminds me of the Pony POV series, which is pretty cool.
I admit, I'm not as a big a fan of the markless ponies as I am of Starlight- but I still liked this. And I especially liked her speech at the end ; it's nice to see Starlight convincing someone to give up their cutie mark, rather than just stealing it.
(For criticism... I thought Party Favor was a little more formal than I would have expected him to be, using words like "nay", but it does make him different from Cheese and Pinkie's hyperactivity.)
I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

5891323 Thank you! Hm... possibly, I'm finding it hard to get the names or cutie marks of the rest of them online. Do you have any links to where I could find this information? I may include just a few others if I have idea's for them which make sense, but I won't put any in for the sake of it. Amber Tresses is a pretty cool pony though, I wasn't aware of her name until now. Why is she called that? I understand the Tresses part, but no part of her is amber, so is that to do with her cutie mark? (Sorry for being dumb, I've only seen the episode once) Anyway, will see what I can do :)

Amber's called that because of her amber-ish color scheme. She doesn't have a canon cutie mark, though.

As much as I want the show to reveal Starlight's backstory, , I'm also curious on how our new favorite S5 characters became part of her creepy little town.
I love how Party Favor is acting out a life as if Pinkie Pie would if she let Cheese Sandwich replace her. Bravo! This is so in character and believable, and I love how Starlight has a way of finding the ponies who have posted their way and know their names. You should explore in a future chapter how she does that.

Do you ship Double Diamond and Starlight together? Because when Double D finds his skiis in the season premier, I could sense some kind of romantic past between the two. I mean, he was her right hoof stallion after all for some kind of reason
But you don't have to if you don't want to because so far your story is perfect the way it is

Double Diamond's chapter will be up soon :) He's my favorite of the group too, his design is so original and cool, and he says some super cute phrases during the episode. I think we will end up hearing about Starlight's back story in the show itself at the end of Season 5, after all she did run away and she does still have the power to remove cutie marks. It's a pretty dangerous magic to have, I'm sure we will see her again!
First off, sledging is what one does with a team of dogs (the term one should use is sledding{minor quibble}) and second, DD's mark is one of three snowflakes. Other than that this is a very interesting take on the Markless four.

Just everything makes sense from the snow games, to his friends (by the way Black Ice sounds like a cool OC
), to the avalanche, to Double Diamond's reflection, to Starlight's entrance and creepy hug at the end, just amazing
This chapter definitely reminded me of The Wonderbolt Academy episode, especially if Rainbow Dash was reckless with Lighting Dust and the Mane 5 got hurt in the process. Love it!,My only question is what's the name of the town or area that Double Diamond is from?

In terms of this chapter, I liked how Night Glider's decision was based on one pony, her best friend. They, in a way, had a Fluttershy/Rainbow Dash, which was very cute...til the end which became very tragic and sad. At that point, Dusk Diver didn't really act like Fluttershy. But that's okay. Because Dusk Diver was acting at that point on her emotions, I wonder if she'll try to find Night Glider and reunite with her in the cutiemarkless town. Also, are you going to name this town in your story or no?
