That was intense.
My biggest concern and most anticipated element was the character interaction. I must say that this story is exceeding my expectations so far. Right now things are currently following the story of OSOTS very closely so I'm rather curious about how the butterfly effect will change things.
I may be involved in the story and editing processes but I do find it much more appealing to properly review a chapter as a whole after it has been published, the formatting changing when it is published usually makes a difference to me.

Oh I fully intend to be around editing this. I am all for this project and I want to do whatever I can to help see it come to fruition.
What I meant earlier was that I personally find it a very different experience reading and enjoying it when it's finished than when it's still being written and revised.
I'm sorry, but I got to ask: Do we really need this?
I mean, in this current timeframe? As a sequel, when the UN starts dimension hopping like a Sliders version of Star Fleet or something, sure.
But the grittiness of the main arc is already a bit overburdened by it's comic book style cosmology. This just makes the war more convoluted.

I think I can see where your concerns might be coming from. All I can say is that we've got some damn good people on this story doing their best to make sure it doesn't screw up in such a manner.
In any case, this is an AU of main Spectrum. Worst case scenario, we eff the whole thing up and it doesn't affect Spectrum's "canon" in the slightest.

... You realize the Alternate Universe tag refers to things that diverge fundamentally from the TV show, yes? Frankly, as of season 4, ALL Spectrum fics should have the AU tag. Canon!Equestria is no longer, well... canon.
As for the whole "takes place before the main story" thing, frankly that was why I was voicing my concerns. I was afraid that they would retcon the main story to accommodate this fic.

Why would I take her skull? It's useless to me! I want her reproductive organs so I can breed the pure Mutalists faster. It takes days for a Brood Mother, Boiler or Ancient to grow, and her uterus could make it take only a few hours or minutes!

Well it's here and I must say I enjoyed the battle. Funnily enough I rarely enjoy reading pure action scenes and usually skim them but this was one that I did want to read about in full. I especially enjoyed how each combatant worked off of one another and made the fight much more dynamic (if a little odd what with the cartoon physics). I did see this chapter develop of course but as I've said before there's something much more satisfying about seeing the published version on metaphorical paper.

6088387 TB3 started the new chapter of Last Train (I am currently working on it) and I'm about 2/3 done with the 2nd arc of Light Despondent. The only thing left, is, well, having TB3 come by and actually edit that.

Oh lovely, absolutely lovely.
I always thought a Discord vs Solamina fight would be difficult to get right and when I helped write down some of the drafts it certainly seemed like it. However the finished product is fantastic. I'm also glad the finished product has managed to avoid making it a direct curb-stomp battle and averted the Worf Effect for the most part (part of that might just be how unfamiliar I am with Spectrum's Discord since I don't know how strong he is mean't to be).
What's more the build-up is likely to lead to an interesting pay-off at the rate it's going.
After rereading this I wonder are we going to see another world added to this? And by that I mean the prime equestria that David Elliot traveled to in the original fic.
