After having failed to defeat Discord with the elements of harmony, Twilight returns to the Golden Oaks library to pack her bags and leave Pony Ville. Upon entering her room, she discovers a pile of letters and spike curled into a ball, in pain. The letters were sent from Celestia. Yet before Twilight has the chance to read any of these letters, Discorded Fluttershy burns the pile to ash.

Difference between [Sad], [Dark], and [Tragedy]:
[Dark] is when the setting is darker. Can include death but doesn't have to, generally a less happy setting. Poverty, xenophobia, discrimination and all things like that can make the setting dark even with no violence. It is also used to depict excess violence beyond, say, A Canterlot Wedding Changeling invasion shenanigans, or Daring Don't fighting minions. If it doesn't feel like a Saturday morning cartoon anymore, it's [Dark]
[Sad] is when sad things happen. Hits you right in the Feels, but can have happy endings. It's more of an emotional setting than anything else.
[Tragedy] is when something happens that either cannot be reversed, or takes great pains to break even. Such as, having somepony be exiled under false pretenses, and trying to make up for that mistake later. Even if they return and 'accept' the apologies, it still hangs in the background. Also: character death, being crippled, fatal flaws causing the protagonists downfall (classic tragedy), bad endings. While it can have a happy ending or at least a bittersweet ending, it's tainted by the journey. [Tragedy] usually has one defining event (though it can be more) that pushes it to tragedy levels. In this case, burning the friendship reports that starts the downward spiral.

Dude if your looking for a happy story, you should untrack this one while its still early. I don't want to give spoilers but the endings a cliff hanger, or a "to be continued" sort of thing. So that's one sign that the ending/story might not be what your looking for.

If you like happy endings, your really not going to like this one. I'll give you a hint: look at the stories picture and take a guess at what's going to happen. That's all I'm really going to say. Neat I haven't read any stories that followed a discorded Twilight, I wondered what she would have been like if she'd stayed around longer. The added side story of Spike being discorded is interesting, though I don't quite have a grasp on what that means. Hope to see more!

Thanks! Sorry I haven't posted anything sooner. I'm working on another story called The Sirens and the Vampire. I have updated the first chapter so that there is more content to it. Although I hope I didn't accidently ruin the beginning. I felt I left the beginning a bit too vague so I put in more things to kind of predict what's going to happen. I hope I didn't accidently ruin it by doing that. All in all I will post up more Twilights journey as soon as I can.
