It happens, goodness knows I've thrown ideas away after seeing them done by others...

Don't care if someone already did it. No one can say that because every single story in this world have been done long ago. Every single plot has been done by the Greeks, and these were the first people to write it down. It was probably done long before. Anyways, don't care about these people who say that it's corny because it's already been done. Have a thumb for writing about my favorite pony.

Good story. A bit too short for my taste, but I think it's good for the message it's trying to convey. Anyways, I really can't see how it could get much longer.

This looks awesome, going to read it later after school. I love me a good short sadfic, not really those 10000 word epics. Don't care that a "Scootaloo's death" fanfic has been done before because well, everything has.
Just finished it and wow, it was amazing. SPOILERS: I thought the way you didn't just make another "Scootaloo dies as a filly" fic but instead did Scootaloo dying when she's old and never getting her cutie mark. I would of liked to know what the cutie mark was, but I guess not knowing was fine. Overall well written, it made me feel but not cry. Well done though, have a thumb up!

This story is SO original, I don't care what everypony says! I read that other story and it was great, but so was this one. And they were both original. To say that this one is not because Scootaloo DIES is like saying two Flutterdash stories aren't respectively original because they're FLUTTERDASH stories. It's utterly ridiculous.
