Trickster Priest, heartless monster, that crazy idiot, there are many names that he goes by but Xellos is the one that he goes by most often. Taken from his world after making a purchase at a convention this once human being is now a literal Monster trapped in a world of ponies. Of course just because he is a Monster doesn't mean he has to be a monster, right?
My own attempt at a story in the Displaced universes with one of the best villains ever. Many things will be made up as I go along but as for what to expect? I'm thinking around an upper Alpha to low Uber being is where he fits there, reshaping the world by destroying chuncks of it counts as Uber right? I'm going to be watching the series while I write these to try and keep as much of his personality in as I can, but of course with the human mind involved it won't quite be the same.

Xellos, the . . . let's see Shabranigdo was broken into 7 pieces, and had his 5 lieutenants, so he's the 13th most powerful demon in the world Slayers takes place in. The reason he's running around despite his statue being in Canterlot garden is because his real body exists on the astral plane and he just separated it from his imprisoned physical shell and created a new one.
Though while he is insanely powerful he's also really prefers messing with people instead of just obliterating them. And his favorite saying is "That is a secret."
5810585 That's actually some pretty good guesswork and I almost considered using it except for one important fact. The Elements of Harmony are much more than a physical spell so it would likely have an effect on the Astral Plane as well. Sadly there isn't much mention of what the Astral Plane is in Slayers, so I'm going to be making up a bunch of stuff for it to fit in with everything. Why he isn't in the statue is much more easily explained but you'll have to wait until that comes about in the story.
Also yeah this is the Xellos from Slayers, or at least someone that was cosplaying as him, but with how that always turns out...
I just need to figure out when the best points for flashbacks would be. Also expect him to be using a few more spells than he does in the anime since he only casts, what, three spells in total through it all?

Well let's not forget that's actually how Phibrizo avoided taking a dragonslave while blocking another dragonslave- the second before it hit he cut off his link to his physical body and formed a new one to replace it somewhere else. Admittedly the Hellmaster is the 8th most powerful demon rather than the 13th, but it is definitely well within a powerful mazoku's capability. Doubly so because the elements are fundamentally rather flashy.
Still when it comes to spells, make sure to remember that Mazoku have a limited capacity to cast spells. The can use astral spells, and elemental spells, and even white magic, but they can't use any type of Black or Holy magic because channeling the power of any other mind is fatal to them.
Hmm, and one other consideration, your description includes the four Demon Blood Talismans Xellos let Lina con him into selling to her. Is this before he sold them, or did he make decorative copies because he liked the look, or is his presence in equestria a consequence of him jumping from world to world trying to recreate the Talismans?

Hmm, I suppose that fact that it's not really Xellos plus being on a different plane could justify his self image not being destroyed by Ruby Eyes mind while trying to channel Ruby Eyes power, and if his gem's are suffuciently like the Demon Blood Gem's that could justify being able to channel Ruby Eyes power despite not being on the same plane of existence. (In Knight of the Aqua Lord, Lina couldn't access the Mazoku's powers when she just moved across the ocean from the Peninsula.)
Also, the fact it's not Xellos does justify having to channel Ruby Eyes power for that sort of effect since Xellos is powerful to do that with just his personal power.
5847341 That's actually mostly right but with a few little tweaks to it. The fact that it's not the real Xellos is a big factor but the casting of the spell didn't quite leave him totally unharmed or even unchanged. The self image part hasn't fully kicked in yet as he hasn't had the time to fully test out what he can do but he will have a different mindset from the usual Mazoku as well due to once/still being human. As for how he could channel the spell... Well I'll leave that as a surprise for later since there are a few different ways I can take it.

Oh yes, like the way Garv turned against the other Mazoku because bonding with a human soul caused his Mazoku urge to return himself and the world to the Sea of Chaos to be surplanted with the human urge to stay alive.
Plus one of the theories on why Mazoku can't survive casting spells drawing on other powers is because the act reminds them that they were all once part of a single being, which isn't the case with false Xellos.
Though I do have to wonder if this means he'll be more resistant to psychological attack (not mind magic, rather the way Amelia was able to mess with Xellos by singing "Life is wonderful" to him, or the way Sherra got driven back by Lina critiquing her name. Or well, the way Mazoku demonstrate a sort of sense of honor when fighting humans to avoid undercutting their own sense of self.)

5922580 That sounds essentially right. That's generally how I see him in the Slayers anime anyways since there seems to be no reason for him not to destroy the world as it is. There doesn't seem to be anything that could stop him if he wished to start something other than the three remaining lieutenants, granted he always follows the orders of one of them as that one did create him. As long as he is entertained he is fine with letting the world live on which is why I feel he follows Lina around all the time.

Considering the mind-frame of monster and how it has influenced him there really is a low chance of him doing the summonings anyways.

I'm trying to figure out how to slip those bits into the story still but it'll come up eventually. Granted there most likely will be different results by that point but it'll be due to other reasons that have already been shown a bit.

Well, at least he has a check list for it, right? He is better adaptively organized than Twilight, the poor obsessive neurotic unicorn. He doesn't limit it to a specific method, while completing the goal, and takes advantage of incidents occurring in the world around him. A skill he may wind up teaching to Twilight completely by accident.

Well, seems like he is negatively affected by changelings. Either their magic or the changeling them selves. Not sure which would have a stronger affect on him. Then again, such a strong negative effect as to make him sick while sitting in Canterlot with Luna and her magic providing a counter, there probably was a switch already and Chrysalis is merely waiting to make things happen.
