paleowriter

Pinkie Pie is best pony. (Though all my fics are about Spike and Rarity.)

I rewatched Season 4 this week, and after Inspiration Manifestation, my personal ban on writing fanfiction disintegrated and this oneshot somehow happened. Consider this a brief look into Rarity's state of mind after this episode's main events. No shipping goggles required, though you're welcome to bring them along if you wish.

Nice little insight. Like from me.

And glad to see you're back.

Somehow, Spike looked at her and consistently saw the good, rather than the flaws. It was that ability that allowed him to save her today—to remind her who she was, and who she was not.

This very much sums-up one of the biggest reasons Rarity loves Spike. He sees, and appreciates, the best in her.

:twilightblush: Spike ? Where are you?
:moustache: I'm here in the bathroom "Grrrrunnnnnt"
:twilightblush: Are you ok?
:moustache: Remember that book? " Arrrrggggggggggg, Hissssssssss"
 That black magic book, What about it?
:moustache: You can have it back," Uuuuuuuggggggggggg":twilightoops:
'splash'
:raritystarry: He paid for the cost of book cleaning?:raritywink: He's such a sweetie.:facehoof:

Cute story as usual. I always love your depictions of Rarity's inner workings.

Also, glad to see that your creativity found a tiny chink in your self-imposed-no-fanfic blockade and smuggled us this nice piece of work. I understand not needing the distractions and channeling your energies to other projects, but sometimes the creative spirit just needs the opportunity to do what it wills. Artists don't get to decide their muses after all. :raritywink: Maybe you could jot down some notes when inspiration strikes until you can find both the time and balance for writing the occasional story for us. I would hate to see you go away entirely; you'e one of my favorite writers here for a reason.

Hope to see you around for the upcoming season. Try not to be such a stranger. And keep up the good work, no matter the medium.

its good to be back paleowriter i can't wait too see what your next story well be

5794010 Thanks very much! It's nice to be back.

5794039 Exactly. Exactly.

5794046 Dragon digestive systems certainly have a magic all of their own...

5794050 Thanks! And yeah, I think I need to allow myself to dabble in fanfic every now and again. If I don't, I run the risk of forgetting the thing I love most about the craft of writing--how much fun it can be.

5794466 I might have another oneshot on my computer that I could post soon. I should tidy it up some first, but keep your eyes open...

The reason why I like the romance between Spike and Rarity is that it brings out the best in both of them.

This is kinda nice, though I want to know what she's making for Spike, also, welcome back, paleowriter...

Also, 5794039 , yeah, that's good, but don't forget, just because you see the good, doesn't mean that you just ignore the bad, either...

my happyness has been doubled!

I am literally being driven crazier than Rarity filled with Dark magic trying to figure out what she could be making him.

“Oh, if only I could disappear just like my book so mysteriously did!”

:rainbowderp: You want to get eaten by Spike?.......Ooookay. :applejackunsure:

Seriously though, this was a great story. While I enjoyed Inspiration Manifestation, it really needed a scene of Rarity truly reflecting over her actions. Thank you for providing that.

I know now what you meant by bringing the shipping goggles. It makes every sentence better.

This one seems more "complete", than the previous one; the ending, though unclosed seems fitting, since we got lots of internal narration.

I always have, and always will, HATE the 'I don't remember what I was doing while affected by bad mojo' horse apples.

Selfreflection. I love it!

You didn't even include the scene where Rarity gives Spike the gift she was going to make for him.
