So while I'm really enjoying the story so far for the characterization, one thing is kind of bugging me.

Shouldn't Maurice have clued in that maybe Vinyl's complete and total confusion as to why he wants it to be a secret that he cheated on his girlfriend with her best friend/roommate is worth asking about? Hell, if it were a problem, wouldn't she be concerned about possibly damaging her friendship with Octy?

Maurice is, as far as I can tell, intelligent. And if this issue's terrifying him as much as it should be, it should be on his mind an awful lot, especially given his solemn guilt after the fact and resolve to come clean. And I understand why he hasn't done that yet, that shit is hard to do, and he has bigger things to worry about given threats from the goddamn mob so I can understand it not being mentioned onscreen, but surely he would've asked Vinyl why she doesn't seem to care at all about something that's should be a big issue to them both?

I want to stress that I very much enjoy literally everything else happening here. You're awesome. Just, it's bugging me that Maurice hasn't put two and two together and asked yet.

Oh, certainly. And I'm looking forward to the resulting 'oh god why was I an idiot about this' scene so we can get to some feels.

...but like, every chapter since then has given him a big neon hint that just one question would fix one of his two big problems, and while Maurice's completely missing that was a bit funny at first because of that anticipation mentioned above, it's gotten a bit... stale.

So I thought I'd throw forward some criticism. I'm honestly am sorry since, at a glance (the first page of comments), it looks like I'm the only one who cared enough to bring it up and now I feel like a party shitter.

So, that's my two cents I guess. Still looking forward to the next chapter when it comes out.
