Life gave me lemons, and with them I made horsewords. Try and figure that out.

It is by acts, and not ideas that people live - Anatole France

A year has passed since one of Luna's dear friends left their temporary home in Canterlot in order to seek out some sort of finality to their life. Yet in the absence, a journal was left to allow the memory and accomplishments of said individual to continue on. So in remembrance of her friend, Luna has partaken in reading the journal again, to relive the life of the most unique individual in Equestria. Yet by re-reading the journal, she has stirred thoughts and memories that have done nothing but burden her.

Even in absence, the Courier continues to blaze a trail through people's lives, only now it is through his journal.

A Fallout/MLP crossover written in the style of a journal inter mixed with moments from the present.

Sawed-off shotguns and hunting rifles?
You got off easy, my boy, you got off easy...
I almost got torn to pieces by the White Legs' .45 Tommy guns and Anti Material Rifles.

Hey, I like pistols!
Give me a 10mm or Lucky over a Laser rifle or Carbine rifle anytime.

5769845
In game wise, it depends on the level obviously!

in this ... well I went with a Fallout verse that was less game like in ways. That was one of them. I thought to myself, "What type of weapons would they come across or be given? The Legion gives it's scouts hardly any better ... so logically it made perfect sense.

5774083
You're obviously not using the right rifles! :rainbowlaugh:

5774094
Ehhh... I'm sorry, were you asleep during the dialogue with Joshua? White Legs didn't get their weapons from the Legion. They got them from raiding the National Guard armory in Spanish Fork. Sure, Ulysses taught them how to do that, but still, they're not even part of the Legion yet, why would Legion give them weapons?

5774281
I probably was, hadn't listened to it in awhile. Still, even when I played it recently, I rarely saw anything higher than Trail Carbines so i guess I got lucky. Thanks for pointing out the inconsistency.

Pre-read by Izanagi,

I proofread/edited like 90% of the errors in the whole story. :applejackconfused: Or does that fall under the banner of pre-reader? My brain cells hurt.

5775178
Sorry, I guess I considered it pre-reading. I changed it though, and now it has a nice "/edited"

Except... The White Legs can't grow. They simply can't survive without raiding, they'll die out within a generation.

Seriously? I'm pretty sure Evacuate Zion is the best ending.

5786853
Exactly ... exactly.

5786866
Evacuate was good but it basically handed the White Legs the valley, though since they didn't fulfil Caesar's wish it turned out all right in the end. If you do the one mentioned above, the White Legs flee the valley, scatter and died. The Sorrows learn to fend for themselves, while also maintaining compassion, and the Dead Horse keep their home.

and so the journey begins!:raritywink:

Oooo, interesting~ :D
Me likin' how this is starting off.

Nice job on this!

Ohohohohoho, interesting :D

If I was the Courier, I would have taken both the NCR and Caesar's legion for myself... how? why?
My own selfish desires, of course. Take full control over the Mojave, then the east 8'D

Damn it, the notification didn't show up for some reason.
So... Did you forget this part of the ending?

Having helped eradicate the White Legs from Zion, the Dead Horses returned to Dead Horse Point in triumph. They remained neutral toward the Sorrows, but as years went on, there were periods of competitive friction, even violence, between the tribes. The New Canaanites - Daniel especially - intervened regularly as mediators, but found it difficult to reconcile the tribes' conflicts.

The sorrows part in that ending leaves them as a strong people who know mercy. That means they are no long thee the hunted. The little conflicts like that are pittance and worth keeping their home. That was my reasoning.

You're very welcome dude! :D
I love a good Fallout/MLP read 8D and this was one of them!

This was a pretty damn good story. I noticed a few grammatical and spelling errors here and there, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. You, sir, have earned your favorite and thumbs up! :moustache:

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for commenting!

Please make a sequel. You left off at a place where it would make a great sequel. And great story by the way this story is in 2nd place in my fallout fiction list

That place was creepy as hell once I just air walked my way to a location so I would not have to deal with walking the streets I feel sorry for hardcore players there.

I went to cottonwood cove. It wouldn't let me to the fort. I think they were onto me.

I enjoyed reading this. I like the journal format you used, interspersed with neat characterization for Celestia and Luna. It worked well for me.

Only criticism I have is that .308 is not a viable round at a mile and a half. At all. Its performance is lackluster beyond a thousand yards, and 1.5 miles just isn't happening.

Let me guess, the best DLC is Lonesome Road. Is it?
