Very, very, awesome. Would be cool if this was the start of a story arc.

The ponies are coming back with a vengeance and the Bronies will be agents for Equestria against humankind?
I'm fine with that.
So where does the "Dark"-Tag come into play?:pinkiehappy:

Wow, this was just a truley great fic, i do hope there will be more.

Well Pinkie... looks like we've got ourselves a doozy here.

And why make it a story arc? For me, I find it a lot more amazing to see what the reader will envision next. What scenario they'll come up and what reasons fit in with the facts.:scootangel:

Very sinister.
Pissed off Celestia is freaking scary. O_O

Jee-whiz. Some scientist. Must be dumb amateurs!

No scientist would go deep into a structure without verifying its integrity. Nor would a scientist will abruptly pick up a "book", lest the contents inside are destroyed, like it happen in the story. The pages, no matter how rotted or bored by insects, they are can still be very carefully plied apart to be scanned by infrared to reveal the withered writings. Then working on an ancient structure before fortifying it with scaffolds.:twilightoops:

No wonder they got killed! :rainbowwild:

Jeepers, it's almost as if this couldn't possibly have happened in real life! I mean...what hunter picks up a book. And of course they should use infrared. Because you know...it's the right century.
:derpyderp2:

I mean...clearly these men are modern-age archaeologists who are totally not all sweating in the Mongolian sun and desperate for money. I mean...people can't do stupid things in real life, can they? What a bunch of idiots though. Should have brought some 21st century stuff to the party.

And building scaffolds, of course! :twilightsheepish: I mean...it wasn't like they discovered it on the spot and it wasn't like the head scientist was partly insane enough to lead his men into it just to have a first look before all those scaffolds and construction workers took his prize.

And throwing all reality aside, this still must have been quite a story for you considering you took the time to find it and comment on it! So yeah, but at least scientist blah blah survived, right?

Thanks for pointing out the stuff I learned from this story. Nice to have a little summary of reminders when I write the next...oh wait...I already did. You should check on them. I mean...it took you a while to find this one, right?

Sorry if my comment sounded kinda harsh, your story is good. I was really criticizing the characters of the story. Not the story itself or the plot. You did put an interesting twist that Equestria was on Earth in ancient times and it was the advent of man that brought the end of that civilization. That would make a good plot for story.

And you are right that these could be men looking for fame & not really interesting being careful what they find. Basically plundering the ruins. Has happened to dinosaur bones, using dynamite to dig them out & therefore destroying the bones in that silly process. Basically that's why I was criticizing the characters of the story.

And I am reading your story, just finished the Tales of a Changeling Commander.

Anyways... again sorry if I sounded somewhat of an a**hole. The last thing I wanted, but obviously succeed of doing. Sorry.
