TwilightXLuna Out

Twilight! Come down darling! Your friends are here!"

"Coooooomiiiiiing!" Twilight was in her room of her house. She was now a fifteen year old teenager. She wasn't a child anymore. But that still didn't hold her back in having fun!

"Twilight! Pinkie Pie is getting impatient!" Twilight Velvet exclaimed. Twilight sighed, rolling her eyes, she put her shoes on and ran down the stairs in a swift movement. She was met by a pink main pony with a big green hat.

"Twilight! Come on! We have to go now! To the professors lab!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed pulling her friend out the door. "Thank you Mrs Velvet!"

"Anytime! Come back soon!" Twilight Velvet waved to her daughter. Pinkie Pie and Twilight were walking side by side to the lab, Pinkie Pie was literally skipping there.

"Pinkie, Did my cousin ask you out?" Twilight asked. Pinkie stopped skipping to look at her friend.

"Rainbow Dash? No. Why?" She answered truthfully, placing a hoof to her lips.

"Well. You're all skippy and happy. What's that all about?"

"Twilight! We're getting our very own Pokémon! Didn't you know?" Pinkie Pie exclaimed.

"Errr, No not really." Twilight said.

"Hey, What happened to all of your Pokémon that you had when you were little?" Pinkie Pie asked.

"M-my Oh ummm Yeah They're at home!" Twilight replied. Pinkie Pie shrugged, but then they knocked on the door, and who opened was Rainbow Dash. "Oh! Cousin! Hi!" Twilight exclaimed, quickly changing the subject. She raised an eyebrow at her, and stepped aside to let them in.

"We were going to pick our Pokémon without you!" Rainbow Dash said, crossing her arms as they all walked to the desk where the Poke Balls were. "Pinkie Pie, what took you so long?"

"Well. Excuse me if she was taking so long!" Pinkie Pie frowned. Puffing her cheeks in frustration.

"Please, cousin, we all know you were still waiting for Pinkie Pie to come. Because you know if you would go ahead without her, she would get angry at you. And that's the LAST thing you want happening." Twilight smiled. Rainbow Dash glared at her cousin and rolled her eyes.

"Whatever." She said. AppleJack was there too. She rolled her eyes at his friend's antics and fixed the position of her Stetson (Hat).

"Well, Shall we get started then?" AppleJack began saying.

"Pinkie Pie and Twilight can go first." Rainbow Dash said, with her hooves still crossed.

"Yaaaaay!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed, jumping in happiness. She went over to the multiple Poke Balls that were there. There were three each, making a total of nine Poke Balls. There were at least three each of the trio'd starters, and Pinkie Pie was finding it hard to pick. "Hmmmm...."

"I know I'm picking Snivy!" Twilight exclaimed, grabbing a Poke Ball in the Snivy row.

"Tepig for meeeeeee!" Pinkie Pie giggled, picking hers.

"Our turn." Rainbow Dash smiled. "I going for Oshawott." She picked up an Oshawott ball and smiled down at it.

"Well, I was all ways going for Snivy." AppleJack replied, picking up one of the Poke Balls with Snivy inside.

"Oh! Oh! I have an idea! Let's let them out so we can meet them!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed.

"That's not a bad idea." Rainbow Dash said, "Go! Oshawott!"

"Come on out!" They all sent their respective Pokémon out, and they all stared at each other and looked up at their new trainers.

"Aww! You're such a cute little piggy!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed, grabbing Tepig and hugging her, receiving a snort from the little pig, and a ring of smoke to emit. She was happy, smiling at her new caring trainer. Rainbow Dash looked down at the Oshawott as he went to hug her leg.

"Oshaaa. Oshawott!" he smiled, tapping Rainbow Dash. Blinking his big eyes.

"A boy, huh?" She said, picking up the male Pokémon. "You're cool."

"Hey. No kidding. This little girl is all over me!" Twilight said as the Snivy she had was jumping around her and crawling up her hair. She layed on her shoulder and smiled.

"Sneeee!" She said.

"Sneeee!" The Snivy replied, looking up and down at his trainer. He crossed his arms and smirked. AppleJack smirked too, raising up her Stetson.

"We're going to get along just fine." AppleJack replied. The Snivy's smirk widened and crawled up AppleJack with speed and was on her shoulder in an instant.

"Don't we have to give them You know Names?" Pinkie Pie said. "I know! I'm naming my little Piggy, Cherry Jubilee!"

"I think I'll name him Tank." Rainbow Dash said.

"Do you like the name Moondancer?" Twilight asked.

"Nicknaming is pointless. Don't you agree Snivy?" AppleJack asked, knowing the little Pokémon would agree.

"Sniivy!" It said, looking proud.

"Oh come on. You have to give him a name! It brings you and your Pokémon together!"

"Just forget it Pinkie Pie, you can't convince Miss Smartass over there." Rainbow Dash said. "I bet Tank can kick your Snivy's ass any day."

The Snivy was fuming. He looked at Applejack, as she fixed her Stetson. "Is that a challenge, Rainbow Dash?" said Applejack.

"You bet it is, Applejack!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed.

"But not in HERE!" Pinkie Pie said. "We don't wanna mess up the Professor's lab!"

"Pinkie Pie's right. We'll get in so much trouble!" Twilight said.

"Alright then, Outside!" Rainbow Dash smirked, everyone running outside. Both new trainers eyeing each other down. Before their Pokémon got ready for a fight.

"You can start nowwww!" Pinkie Pie cried.

"Ladies first, Rainbow Dash." AppleJack said. Rainbow Dash frowned.

"Wouldn't want to be a bad sport. Why don't you go first?"

"If you insist." AppleJack said. "Snivy! Use tackle!"

"Osha!" Tank exclaimed, Snivy was running forward, launching for his attack. "Tank! Dodge and use tackle!" Tank jumped out of Snivy's way. he turned around and slammed her head against Snivy's back and sent him flying to a tree.

"Quick! Snivy! Use leer!"
"Tank! Use tail whip!"

"OSHA!"
"SNIVY!"

They both used their moves at the same time, lowering each others defense.

"Quick! Snivy! Finish him off with a tackle!" AppleJack commanded.

"Tank. You can do this. Use tackle!!" Rainbow Dash said. Both Pokémon ran forward and tackled one another. Bumping their heads together, they fell back. Everyone was silent. Until AppleJack's Snivy stumbled up first, smirking down at Tank.

"Looks like I win Rainbow." Applejack said, about to walk over. But Pinkie Pie watched at Tank was moving slightly.

"No wait. Look!" Pinkie Pie said. Rainbow Dash was wide eyed to see Tank stumble up, a smile on her face.

"Oshaa....Oshawott!" he exclaimed, before staying up and glaring down Snivy. Until a few seconds later, Snivy was so tired he fell to the ground, fainted.

"Well, We win AppleJack." Rainbow Dash said.

"Hmm It was a good fight. Your Oshawott did well for his first battle. As did you, my friend." Applejack said, putting away her Snivy in his Poke Ball.

"That was so cool!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed. "Cool! Cool! Cool! Cool"

"OK, Pinkie. We get it." Twilight smiled. "I wonder where the Professor is?"

"I was watching you two. You two were astounding for your first battle." It was Professor Fluttershy.

"OH! Hey Professor!" Twilight exclaimed.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Soooooo Where are we headed?" Pinkie Pie asked.

"We're going to the next town Pinkie! Isn't it obvious?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Well sorry for asking" Pinkie Pie pouted. "I just thought we could take our time. I mean. There's no rush."

"THAT'S true." Applejack glared at Rainbow Dash.

"Sorry, Pinkie." Rainbow Dash said.

"OK OK! Enough guys! Why don't we catch some Pokémon first before we do that?" Twilight asked. "I mean, Wait. What am I saying? LET'S TRAIN THEM TOO!"

"YEAH! LET'S CATCH SOME POKEMON WITH THE POKE BALLS THE PROFESSOR GAVE US!" Pinkie Pie yelled, running into the tall grass with Cherry Jubilee. Applejack merely walked on ahead. Looking for Pokémon on her own.

"How you fell in love with that girl, I will never know." Twilight smirked, leaving Rainbow Dash behind to stare at Pinkie Pie.

"H-hey! I didn't fall in love with her! I fell MADLY in love with her!" Rainbow Dash said.

"There's a difference?" Twilight asked.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

An hour later, Twilight was in on the hunt and training her Snivy (Who was now level 8) Everyone seemed to have found an extra Pokémon, except for her. She grunted in anger.

"We can't find a single Pokémon, Moondancer, What am I gonna do?"

"Snivy! Snivy! Snivy!" She exclaimed, jumping up and down.

"What is it?" Twilight asked. She turned around. Seeing a familiar Pidove nearby. "Is that who I think it is?" The pidove was cleaning it's wings when it glanced at her, and it's eyes widened.

"Piiii!!" It chirped, before swooping down to Twilight and tackling her face.

"Scootaloo!!" Twilight yelled, hugging the little bird Pokémon to her chest. "I missed you so much!!"

"Piii! Piii!" She said, rubbing her head against Twilight's face.

"Snivy Snivy! Snivy Snivy!" Snivy bounced up and down.

"Pii! Pii!" Scootaloo exclaimed. Now sitting on Twilight's shoulder.

"You wanna join us on our adventure?" Scootaloo nodded her head, while Twilight took out a Poke Ball and put it to Scootaloo head. It engulfed Scootaloo, and soon, she was caught. Twilight touched the button, and Scootaloo emerged from the Poke Ball. Moondancer smiled.

"Welcome back." Twilight smiled down at her Poke Ball. She looked down at Moondancer. "Well. Let's go! They're probably waiting for us!"

"Snivy!" Moondancer responded, walking alongside Twilight. Scootaloo was on her shoulder once more as she walked along the grass, until she saw her cousin near by as she entered Hollow Shades.

"Cousin? Where's AppleJack and Pinkie Pie?" Twilight asked now standing in front of her.

"Probably still looking for Pokémon. I didn't see any Pokémon I'd want on my team. You?"

"I caught a Pidove." She said with a smile, showing her Scootaloo on her shoulder.

"Well, congrats on your first catch." She replied. "I've been standing here, and I'm pretty curious as to what's going on over there. Look at all those ponies. You think this place is holding some festival or something?"

"Let's go and see!" Twilight said, Moondancer jumped on her shoulder too. While Tank was on Rainbow Dash's shoulder. They both ran to see, and saw a lot of colts, standing as a row, with a indigo maned mare. Twilight got a sudden feeling of Deja vu coming, and placed a hoof on her head.

"My name is Nightmare Moon." The mare in the cloak began, moving around, watching and staring at the ponies that were listening. "I am here representing Team Plasma. Today, ladies and gentlecolts, I would like to talk to you about Pokémon liberation."

"Huh?"

"What?" The crowd was uneasy, as she had begun is speech with a topic no one expected.

"What nonsense is this?" Rainbow Dash whispered.

"I'm sure most of you believe that we ponies and Pokémon are partners that have come to live together because we want and need each other. However. Is that really the truth? Have you ever considered that perhaps we ponies Only assume this is the truth?" She paused and took a few steps more before speaking once more. "Pokémon are subject to the selfish commands of Trainers. They get pushed around when they are our "partners" at work. Can anyone say with confidence that there is no truth in what I'm saying?"

"Yikes!"

"No way."

"I don't know!" Everyone was looking at each other and some talking under their breaths. Twilight looked amongst the crowd and saw another young mare with indigo mane similar to that mare. She had her hooves crossed, her black and white hat covering her face. Her fur was a dark blue, she looked really interested in what this mare had to say. She turned her head slowly to look around, and Twilight quickly looked forward so as not to be caught. She hid next to Rainbow Dash, to avoid her gaze to her direction. Nightmare Moon continued talking.

"Now, ladies and gentlecolts, Pokémon are different from ponies. They are living beings that contain unknown potential, from whom we ponies have much to learn. Tell me, what is our responsibility toward these wonderful beings called Pokémon?"

"What could it be?"

"Liberation?"

"That's right! We must liberate the Pokémon!" Then, and only then, will ponies and Pokémon truly be equals. Everypony, I end my words here today by imploring you to consider the relationship between ponies and Pokémon and the correct way to proceed. We sincerely appreciate your attention." When she finished, two of the many colts that were in the row retrieved their flag, and proceeded to leave with Nightmare Moon in an orderly fashion. Leaving the ponies there to ponder what were they to do with their Pokémon.

"About that speech, What do you think we should do?" An older colt said, the crowd went silent to this, everyone was looking at each other, confused.

"Liberate Pokémon? That's not even possible!" A younger colt said, after he said that everypony had left, leaving Rainbow Dash and Twilight there standing.

"Snivy Snivy Snivy." Moondancer cooed sadly, looking at Twilight. Scootaloo did too, both of them giving her the pouty stare. She smiled at both of them.

"Don't worry. I won't leave you two. You're both my friends now! And friends stick together till the end!" Twilight said. "Right?" They both looked at each other and hugged Touko.

"Snivy!"

"Pii!!"

"Osha?" Tank asked Rainbow Dash

"That goes for us too Tank." Rainbow Dash smiled. he bounced on her shoulder and grinned, a happy smile on her face.

"This Pokémon liberation is a phony! There's no way they're separating US!" Twilight said. "YOU HEAR THAT NIGHTMARE MOON!!? I'M STAYING WITH MY POKEMON FRIENDS! WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!"

"Shh!! She might hear you!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, just then, the young mare that Twilight was looking at earlier was walking towards her. Rainbow Dash tapped her shoulder, and pointed behind her. Her grin disappeared, as she was face to face with this mysterious young mare.

"Hey, Ummm, what's up?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Your Pokémon. Just now, it was saying-"

"Whoa! Slow it down! You talk way too fast!" Twilight exclaimed. "And Pokémon talking? That's kinda of a weird thing to say don'tcha think?"

"Yes, they're talking." She replied with this ill attitude. Then her face softened. "Oh, Then you two can't hear them, either how sad."

"Hey! What's the big idea!?" Rainbow Dash said. "You don't need to sound SNOTTY about it! Calm down!"

"My name is Luna Star." She said, ignoring Rainbow Dash outburst.

"My name is Rainbow Dash. This is Twilight Sparkle. WE were asked to complete the Pokédex and we just left on our journey. What about you?" Rainbow Dash asked.

Luna raised her eyebrow under her cap, looking down at both of them with disgust. "The Pokédex, eh?" She frowned at them. "So, You're going to confine many, many Pokémon in Poké Balls for that, then."

"Hold on just a second, What is your deal?" Twilight asked. "You're acting as though we make them our prisoners!" Luna was now looking down at her and smiled, almost like a smirk.

"You haven't done anything to me but you trainers. You are going to confine Pokémon to Poké Balls to place them in that retched machine called a Pokémon Storage Box as if they were items for your pleasure." She gave this particular nasty look to Twilight. "I'm a Trainer, too, but I can't help wondering are Pokémon really happy that way?"

"Well, not ALL Pokémon think the same, just look at me and Tank! We just met a few hours ago, and we're already best friends!" Rainbow Dash said.

"That goes for me and Moondancer, too!" Twilight exclaimed. "And Scootaloo? I had her since she was a baby. I set her free along with two other Pokémon. She had an injured wing, and I helped her recover, and after she was healed; I set her free where she belonged, with other Pidoves But look, Ten years later and she comes back to me. Now what does that tell you? Is Scootaloo really unhappy to be in a Poké Ball right now? Is Moondancer? Is Tank? Do they look like they wanna be liberated any time soon?" Luna glanced at both Pokémon as they had frowns on their faces. Luna sighed, listening to them as they spoke to her.

'She's right. I'm not leaving her side! She's my Trainer, and more than that. She's my friend!' Moondancer said.

'I'm not going anywhere. There's no way my Trainer is leaving me just for some speech some wannabe said. She could swallow her words for all I care.' Tank exclaimed.

'I'm not making the same mistake on leaving Twilight. I only left because she thought I would be happy living in the wild. But now that I've come back, I'm not ever leaving her side.' Scootaloo said. 'She's not only my trainer, she was my best friend when I needed her. And now that I'm along side her. She's not only my best friend. She's my mother!'

Luna was shocked speechless at this. She blinked, staring at Scootaloo for the longest time, then at Twilight, who had a frown of her own. Luna laughed, a small grin appearing on her face.

"Well, Twilight, is it? Let your Pokémon prove themselves to me." Luna said, retrieving a Poké Ball from her waist. It enlarged, as she looked down at Twilight.

"Twilight! It's a challenge! Go! Kick her ass!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed.

"Which one of you is up for a battle right now?" Twilight asked, a smirk of her own. Both Twilight and Luna backed away, giving room for their Pokémon.

"Piiii!" Scootaloo said, looking riled up, she flew down from Twilight's shoulder and right in front of her. Luna frowned, she threw her Poké ball in the air.

"My friend, I am in need of your assistance." She said. Her Pokémon appeared in front of her, and the Poké Ball bounced back to her hoof. A purple cat was now on the battlefield, A Purrloin.

Twilight looked at the cat carefully, and was just plain shocked. The cat's eyes widened, and so did Scootaloo's eyes.

Luna quickly noted all of their faces, and raised an eyebrow. "I take it this was the trainer that had set you free,Was it not? Shining Armor?"

"Shining Armor?" Twilight said.

"Pii!" Scootaloo exclaimed, flapping her two wings. Remembering him perfectly well. The Purrloin hissed at Twilight and Scootaloo.

"He is angry with you." Luna said.

"I can see that!" Twilight exclaimed.

"Twilight, I thought you said you kept your Pokémon, and that they were at your house." Rainbow Dash replied.

"Nyaaaaah!!" Shining Armor yowled, there was a moment of silence.

"I hate you" Luna said out of nowhere.

"Huh????" Twilight and Rainbow Dash were now confused.

"That is what he said. 'I hate you." Luna said. "Shining Armor, Faint attack."

"Nyaaaaaah!!!" Shining Armor yelled before disappearing and then was seen running forward and tackling Scootaloo, sending her tumbling back in pain.

"Scootaloo!" Twilight said.

"This is what forms when a Pokémon is under a trainers care, He no longer sees you as a friend! Use Growl."

Shining Armor growled at Scootaloo and lowered her attack power. Scootaloo tried getting up from that attack, and Twilight was speechless. She was hit hard by that move, but Scootaloo still got up none the less.

"Why are you not commanding Scootaloo? Do you not care what happens to her? Is what I said about Pokémon hating Trainers the truth?" Luna asked. "Or are you thinking is it really worth capturing Pokémon and sending them to the storage boxes as prisoners? Pokémon liberation is the BEST thing that you could do to your Pokémon. And if your Pokémon can't prove their ideals, then what Nightmare Moon had said was true. Shining Armor, Finish her with Scratch."

"Nyaaahhh!" Shining Armor said, jumping in the air, his claw at ready.

"Twilight!!" Rainbow Dash yelled. Scootaloo waited for a command from Twilight. Her eyes widened, she took out her Poke Ball and called Scootaloo back inside. Shining Armor hit the floor, the spot where Scootaloo was now empty. Luna lowered her head, and laughed out loud. Shining Armor walked back in front of Luna, and jumped on her shoulder.

"Pity. Such a darling Pokémon Scootaloo is, but her trainer has yet to prove her worth." Luna pet Purrloin on the head as he purred.

"Hey! Don't talk like that about my cousin like she's some street rat!" Rainbow Dash yelled. Luna looked back up at Twilight, seeing her looking at her Poké ball with a questioning look.

"As long as Pokémon are confined in Poké balls, Pokémon will never become perfect beings. I have to change the world for Pokémon, because they're my friends." Luna said softly. Then her face was serious. "Shining Armor, You are free to go."

Shining Armor's eyes widened and looked back at Luna, not believing what she was saying. Twilight couldn't believe what she had just said either! She looked up at Luna.

"What!? Why are you setting him free??" Twilight asked.

"Because, I shall not confine him to something he does not like." She said, with anger in her voice.

'What? Why?' Shining Armor replied.

"You said you hated being in a Poké Ball So you are free to go back to your home, my friend." Luna said.

'My home?' Shining Armor looked back at Twilight and he frowned, looking back at Luna.

"Did you not want your revenge on the trainer that had left you?" Luna said.

'.....' Shining Armor went silent at this. Luna grabbed Shining Armor softly, petting him on the head before she turned around to leave, walking away from the Purrloin.

Shining Armor just stood there in grief. He didn't want to leave Luna, but he knew this was going to happen because the young mare and him had made a deal. But now, Shining Armor turned to gaze at Twilight. Rainbow Dash watched as the scene unfold silently.

She looked down at him with a sad face. She bent down on her knees and called Shining Armor over.

"Shining Armor ... Come here ... Come here, Shining Armor." Twilight called. Shining Armor hissed at her again, and Moondancer looked like she was ready to vine whip his furry ass out of there.

Shining Armor's eyes were watering. Remembering when she had set him free, like all those other trainers that had left him for dead.

'You're a no good liar, Twilight. You said you would be there for me.' Shining Armor hissed angrily.

"Shining Armor, Listen to me. Mum said that I had to set you all free, because you all deserved your freedom." Twilight replied. The cat hissed at her once more. "Shining Armor" Twilight said. The purple cat glanced over at her. "I set you free, But I didn't dump you in the garbage and told you I never wanted to see you again! You knew you could've always come to visit me if you wanted to! But you took it the wrong way." The cat's eyes widened. Never thinking about it that way. "I never left you for dead. I've cared for you Shining Armor. I did it because I thought you would all be happy in the wild. Where you would be with other Purrloins, away from ponies. Shining Armor stared at her and blinked. "I understand if you hate me right now, but just know, that I would never do anything to hurt you."

"Twilight, I don't think he's going to listen. Who knows how many ideas that jerk put into his head" Rainbow Dash said, helping her stand up. Twilight walked over to Shining Armor, he jumped, ready to attack her. She pet Sparta on the head. He was tense, but relaxed a little bit.

"See yah Shining Armor. Maybe, you'll have it in your heart to forgive me one day" Twilight said and so Shining Armor sat there, as they left toward the Pokémon Center, pondering on what to do.
