Luna's Pokémon Journey

Ice, Ice Baby

Still on Izabe island, the three trainers was now in the snowy area of the island and another trainer had joined them on their way to Sootopolis city, it was non another then Artic Ace. “I hate snow.” They were currently walking through a blizzard that had just started and every one was glad they had bought winter gear before they entered the area.

“I still don’t understand why we have to walk through this blizzard.” Said Ace while trying to stay warm.

“I told you before we left the town, this is the shortest way to the next town, we only have to walk two days so suck it up.” Ace had been complaining ever since they entered the snowy area and James was getting tired of his complaining.

“That doesn’t mean I have to like it and you still haven’t told me why we have to walk through a bloody blizzard.”

“If we waited then we had missed our boat and my Lapras can’t carrier four people.”

While James and Ace was arguing, Luna and Shadow was watching them from a small distance, they didn’t want to get involved.

“They have been arguing since we left town, I wonder if they will stop.” Said Luna.

“Knowing those two, probably not.” Shadow said with a smile on his face.

Then Luna decided to ask Shadow something. “Hey Shadow, why is your Charmeleon in his Pokéball? He usually is outside with you.”

“Oh, that. He hates the cold, a Charmeleon has no problem handling the cold but not mine.” Shadow said with a smirk on his face.

Luna couldn’t help but giggle. “I guess not everyone likes the cold.” She looked over to Ace and James who was still arguing. “I’m surprise that a person who have artic in his name hates the cold.”

“Yeah, it’s a mystery, a funny mystery.”

“Hey, I heard that.” That only made Luna and Shadow laugh.

Luna decided to forget those two for a moment and focus on the road ahead, they were currently trying to find somewhere to spend the night. Eventually, Ace and James had finally stop arguing and Luna was happy for that.

After some more walking, Luna notice something lying in the snow. It was a little difficult thanks to the wind, she started to run towards it. “Luna, where are you going?” James asked her, she didn’t answer.

Once Luna arrived at what was lying in the snow, she saw a Pokémon that look like Sunset’s Sandshrew but this one was blue, Luna couldn’t help but think how cut it was. Then the boys arrived.

“Why those that look like a Sandshrew?” Said Ace.

Then James spoke. “That’s not a Sandshrew, it’s supposed to be brown not blue.”

Luna didn’t know or did she care, she examined Sandshrew and saw that is was exhausted, she lifted the Pokémon in her arms and stood up, she then started to walk again.

“Where are you going Luna?” James asked her.

“I’m going to find a shack so Sandshrew can get its energy back, it’s exhausted. You three can stay here and argued, I really don’t care.” She told them while looking over her shoulder.

The boys just watch as she walk off, then James followed her. “I hope she realized that she doesn’t know where the shack is.” He said.

Shadow followed him and Ace was about to do that but then he saw something lying in the snow, it look like a blue crystal. “What’s this.” He said as he bent down and picked it up. It look like a fire/thunder stone but this one was blue, and it had a snowflake in the middle. “Maybe this belong to Sandshrew.” He decided to place the stone in his pocket, he then followed the rest.

After more walking, the four trainers and one Pokémon finally arrived at a shack and they were surprised when they saw who was walking out of it, it was Lumi Koude and she was only wearing shorts with a t-shirt and some boots.

She placed her arms over head and stretch her body. “Man, I do love the snow.” She then look over where Luna and the other were. “Hey guys, funny meeting you here.” She said with a smile on her face.

The gang was speechless, then Ace decided to ask what they were think. “How the hell can you walk around like that? Aren’t you cold?”

Lumi just snorted. “Oh please, I’m from Snowpoint city, this is nothing.” Then a Pokémon floated out from the shack, it was white, it has red band around it’s waist, it’s ears look like diamonds and it’s ears looked like hands.

“Hey, it looks like your Snorunt evolved.” Said James when he saw the new Pokémon.

Luna took out her dex to see what kind of Pokémon it was, she had to be carefully not to drop Sandshrew who was in her arms.

Froslass the snow land Pokémon and the evolved form of Snorunt. It freezes foes with an icy breath nearly -60 degrees Fahrenheit. What seems to be its body is actually hollow.

Lumi smiled. “Yeah, I thought it was about time I evolved my Snorunt, considering I had it with me since I left Snowpoint.”

“I hope you didn’t force it to evolve.” James asked her as he walk towards the shack.

“Of course not, who do you think I am? Sunset?” James didn’t answer her as he walk into the shack, Shadow and Ace just followed him avoiding eye contact with Lumi. She just rolled her eyes. “Boys.” She then saw the different Sandshrew in Luna’s arms. “Wow, is that’s a Sandshrew?” She asked the pony princess turn human. “I have never seen one like that before.” She walk over to her to study the Pokémon. “It looks like it’s an ice type, have you seen the data yet?”

Luna shook her head. “No, I kind of forgot it.” She decided to do it.

Sandshrew the mouse Pokémon. It lives on snowy mountains. Its steel shell is very hard so much so, it can’t roll its body up into a ball.

When Lumi saw the data, she couldn’t help but smile. “Cool, this version IS an ice type. Where did you find it?”

“On the way here, Sandshrew was lying in the snow so I decided to find a place where it could rest.”

Lumi cheeks puff out when she heard that. “Lucky you.”

Then James walk out of the shack. “There is enough bed inside so all of us can sleep and Lumi made fire if you want to warm yourself Luna.” That made Luna run into the shack. “So, what are you doing out here Lumi?” James asked the girl.

“I’m here to catch a Beartic, I heard rumours that a very strong one is in the area, but I haven’t had any luck finding it yet.”

James tilted his head to the side.” Really? I didn’t know that a Beatric lived on this island.” He then shrugged his shoulders. “Oh well, it’s been a while since been here.” Then all of sudden the wind started to pick up. “I don’t think you are going to find Beartic today while this blizzard is like it is..” He told Lumi while covering his face.

Lumi couldn’t help but shiver by the wind. “I think your right about that.” Both of them headed into the shack.

The inside of the shack was bigger than normal, it had six bed and a furnace in the middle so travellers could warm up and cock their food. Sitting on a bed closed to the furnace was Luna with the Sandshrew on her lab and it was eating some Pokéfood.

“I can see that Sandshrew is doing better.” Said James while closing the door.

“Yes, he just woke up and was hungry, so I gave him some food.”

Lumi mumble something as she walk past them, as she did Sandshrew tried to hide himself behind Luna. “What did I do? I just walk past.” Lumi said with confusion.

“It looks like Sandshrew is afraid of human, expect Luna.” Said Shadow while getting his sleeping bag ready.

“Then I suggest we let Luna take care of Sandshrew.” Said James while walking to his bed. “We better get ready for a cold night.” He took out his sleeping bag and laid it on the bed.

Ace, who was already lying in his bag in the bed, was not happy to hear that. “Great.” He said with sarcasm in his voice.

The next morning the five trainers was up early so they could get to next city before dark, but first Lumi was going to catch the Beartic she was looking for.

Lumi was currently on the ground looking for tracks. “This is not good, the snow storm last night erased Beartic’s tracks.” She stood up. “How am I going to catch it when I can’t find?” She said while looking around.

James walk over to her. “Don’t worry, I know a place where berries crows, if Beartic is hungry it will find food there.”

That made Lumi happy. “Then led the way.” James nodded and started to walk, the rest of the gang followed him.

After some walking. “I still don’t understand why we have to do this.” Said Ace with some annoyance.

“If you don’t want to do this then you can just leave.” Shadow told him.

“I wish I could, but James is the only one who know the way to the next city, and I don’t have a map.” Said Ace while hanging his head in defeat.

Shadow just rolled his eyes of his friend behaviour while Luna, who had Sandshrew in her arms thought it was just funny. Sandshrew didn’t understand what was so funny.

They eventually arrived at the place where James was talking about, they could see a bunch of trees and a giant white bear who was picking berries from the tree. “It’s a Beartic.” Said Shadow while taking out his Pokédex to see the data, Luna did the same.

Beartic the freezing Pokémon. They love the cold of the north. They create pathways across the ocean waters by freezing their own breath.

While they were looking at the data, Luma had reached for a Pokéball. “Time to catch a Beartic.” She then jump out of the bushes they were hiding in, Lumi then threw the ball in the air. “Come out Electabuzz and use thunderbolt against Beatric.” As soon as the electric Pokémon came he send out electricity towards Beatric who was busy eating.

When the attack hit, Beatric was flying a few meters and landed n the snow. When the freezing Pokémon got up he look at the one who interrupted his meal with pure anger, Beatric opened its mouth and out came a blizzard.

The five trainers and one Electabuzz had to cover their faces with their arms while Sandshrew wasn’t affected at all. “Holy crap, that’s one strong blizzard.” Said Ace while trying to not to get blown away.

Lumi was more focus on the battle. “Move forward Electabuzz and use fire punch.” Electabuzz started to run towards Beatric while his right arm was covered in flames, when he reached the bear he hit so hard he could in the stomach that it fell right on it face in the snow, unconscious. “Alright, Pokéball go.” Lumi threw an empty Pokéball at the unconscious Beatric, the bear dissapered into the ball and then it landed in the snow wiggling three times and then came the bling, Beatric was caught. “Awsome.” Lumi walk over and pick up the ball. “I caught a Beatric.” She said with a smile on her face. “Nice work Electabuzz.” The electric pokemon just threw his arms up in the air.

Luna was amazed of what she saw. “That was amazing, you beat the Beatric with one punch.” She said while walking over to Lumi.

“Of course.” Lumi pick up the Pokéball. “I have trained since last time we meet.”

“Great, she have a new Pokémon. Can we please leave this place? I can’t stand the cold.” Said Ace while trying to keep warm.

Lumi nodded. “Sure, I done here so we can leave.” With that said they all headed for the next town.

nICE chapter Luna has a Alolan sandsherw and Lumi now has a beartic. Plus Ace found the ice stone which I bet will be important later OR if you have ace get a Aloan Vulpix

But I’m betting the most likely to happen is him giving it to Luna for her Aloan Sandshrew
