Pokémon Hunter
It’s been four days since Luna’s battle against Ace in Lavaridge Town, he was going back to Dewford town to challenge Brawly while James and Luna was headed for Falander Town so Luna could get her fourth bags, right now they heading to a farm how’s owner was and old friend of James.
“Who is this fiend of your James?” Luna asked him.
“Her name is Julie and she owns a farm whit Numel.”
“You can have a farm with Pokémon?”
“Of course, the most common is Miltank but she has manged with Numel.”
As closer they got to the farm they couldn’t see any Pokémon, Luna wonder if he was playing with her. She decide to ask him.
“Where is, this Pokémon called Numel?” She asked James.
James scratch his head. “That’s weird, there’s supposed to a lot’s of Numel’s wandering around.” When they arrived at fencing the still couldn’t see Numel. “Alright, what’s going on here? There’s supposed to Numel here.”
Then Luna notice a Furret coming towards them. “James, a Furret is coming towards us.” Luna pointed her finger towards the house.
James looked where she was pointed. “That’s Julie’s Furret and he doesn’t look happy.”
Furret ran towards them with and angry face, he jumped up in the air and then his tail stared to glow. “That’s iron tail.” James grabbed Luna and jump so the attack missed them, the impacted created a small dust cloud. When the dust cloud cleared Furret saw that James was lying on top of Luna.
“Luna, you okay.?” He asked her.
She coughed a little. “Yes, I’m okay.” Then she noticed he was lying on top of her. “Mind getting of me James.”
James cheeks became red. “Right.” He got of her and looked at Furret who was ready to attack again. “What’s wrong with you Furret? Why did you attack us?” James asked the Pokémon.
Furret didn’t listen, he was doing another iron tail but stopped. “Furret, stop attacking right now.”
Luna saw a girl with orange overalls, she was wearing a black t-shirt without sleeves and white hat on her head. She had purple hair, running towards them.
“I know that you are on edge Furret but that’s no excuse to attack a friend, are you okay James?” When Furret heard that he attacked a friend he hanged with his head in shame.
James got up and help Luna get back on her feet. “I been better, mind telling us why your Furret is attacking us.”
“I’m sorry about Furret’s behaviour but there’s been report of a Pokémon hunter in the area and we have been on edge these couple of days, I think he’s here to steal my Numel’s”
Luna didn’t know what a Pokémon hunter was but it sounded bad, so she decided to ask to be sure.
“What’s a Pokémon hunter?”
“A Pokémon hunter is someone that steals Pokémon, mostly rare, and sell them on the black marked, that means selling them illegal.” He told her. “But why Numel? They aren’t that rare, you can easily catch one in the wild.”
Luna couldn’t believe what she was hearing, there was humans that actually stole Pokémon and sold them illegal. For the first time in a long time she was pissed off.
“What kind of human being would do such ting?”
“A human being that only care about money.” James told her. “Where are you Numel’s Julie?” James asked his friend.
“They are in the barn, follow me.”
James and Luna followed Julie but little did they know that someone was watching them from far away, it was a shady character with binoculars.
“So, the form champion of Hoenn is here.” He smiled. “This could be fun.”
All three arrived at the barn where there Pokémon Luna hadn’t see before so she took out her Pokédex and pointed them.
Numel the Numb Pokémon. Numel is extremely dull witted, it doesn’t notice being hit. However, it can’t stand hunger for even a second. This Pokémon’s body is a seething cauldron of boiling magma.
They look so peaceful, some of the was eating while the rest was sleeping. Luna couldn’t understand why someone would steal a Pokémon that looked so peaceful.
“Two days ago, officer Jenny told me that a Pokémon hunter was spotted in the area, so me and Furret as ben on guard ever since.”
“Do you want us to stay the night? Maybe we can catch this Pokémon hunter?” James asked his friend.
Julie mood became much better when she heard that. “That would be so nice, maybe I can get a good night sleep. I haven’t had one in two days.”
Luna looked at James. “And how are we supposed to help her?” She asked him.
“Do you still have you Misdreavus?” Luna nodded. “We can use her as a guard and she can notify us if the Pokémon hunter shows up, then we can catch him.”
With a plan, they went inside the main house and waited. Night had arrived and Luna was in the guest room with Misdreavus Poké ball, she let out the ghost Pokémon.
“Alright Misdreavus, there’s a Pokémon hunter that is probably going to steal Julie’s Numel, I want you look for someone who is trying to steal them. If you see any suspicious humans you alert me right away and try to stay out of side, can you do that?”
Misdreavus nodded and flew through the wall, Luna just stared where Misdreavus disappeared. “That’s not creepy at all.” She lay down on the bed to try and get some sleep.
Outside the house the Pokémon hunter waited for the right time to strike, the clock stared to approach 1 am at night. “Alright, time to make my move.” The hunter jump into his truck and stared to drive towards the farm, very slowly and quiet.
He parked the truck backwards so it would be easy to loaded the Numel’s into the container, he opened the door to the container and lowered the ramp carefully so he wouldn’t make a sound. Then broke the lock with a wrench.
“This is too easy.”
Little did he know that Luna’s Misdreavus saw the whole thing, she hurried to Luna’s room to warn her. When the ghost Pokémon arrived at Luna’s room, she saw her sleeping peacefully. Misdreavus tried to nudge her and it work, Luna woke up and rubbed her eyes.
“What’s the matter Misdreavus? I just had fallen asleep.” Misdreavus stared to fly around the room in panic. “What’s the matter? Is the Pokémon hunter here?” Misdreavus nodded.
When Luna got the pointed she jumped out from the bed and ran out the door to get James, when she and Misdreavus arrived in the living room they saw James sleeping on the couch. She walked over to him.
“James, waked up.”
She nudged him and he woke up, he rubbed his eyes. “What’s the matter Luna?” He yawned.
“The Pokémon hunter is here.”
That got James attention. “Are you sure?”
“Yes, I told Misdreavus to alert me if she saw some suspicious humans.”
“Alright, you go and wake up Julie while I check if someone is trying to steal her Numel’s.”
Luna nodded and went to wake up Julie while james grabbed his pants and shoes and put them on, he then went outside right away he saw the Pokémon hunter truck and the hunter was standing beside the truck, laughing.
“Man, I can’t believe that someone is paying me to steal some Numel’s.”
“I can’t believe that someone is stealing Pokémon for a living.”
The hunter turned his head towards James, he couldn’t help but smile when he saw James.
“I was wondering when you would show up, the former champion of Hoenn. Didn’t you retire seven months ago?”
“Well, I’m back and I’m not letting you steal Julie’s Numel so give up now.”
The hunter stared to laugh again. “If you think I’m going to let some punk get in my way then you can think twice.” He took out two Poké ball’s. “Come out Aggron and Tyranitar.”
‘That’s just great.’ James reached for his own Pokémon but notice he had forgotten them. ‘Crap, that’s not good.’
Then Luna and Julie came out. “Here James.” Luna threw a belt to him. “You forgot this.”
James manged to catch the belt. “Thanks Luna, come out Arcanine and Lucario.” Out came the two Pokémon and ready for battle.
Luna noticed two Pokémon that the hunter used so she took out her Pokédex from her bag she brought.
Tyranitar the Armor Pokémon and the evolved form of Pupitar. Tyranitar is so powerful, it can bring down a whole mountain to make its nest. This Pokémon wanders about in mountains seeking new opponents to fight.
She pointed it at the other Pokémon.
Aggron the Iron Armour Pokémon and the evolved form of Larion. Aggron claims an entire mountain as its own territory. It mercilessly beats up anything that violates its environment. This Pokémon vigilantly patrols its territory at all times.
“You two get Julie’s Numel’s too safety, I’ll take care of him.” James told them.
“Are you sure James?” Luna asked him, he just gave them a thumb up.
Luna didn’t like to leave him alone with the hunter but she knew he could take care of himself, she has seen it before. Then she felt Julie grabbed her arm.
“Come on Luna, James can handle this guy. Let’s get my Numel’s to safety.”
They ran to the other side of the house and behind the house, when that were behind they house they ran to the barn.
“How are we going to get the Numel’s out when the hunter is blocking the entrance?” Luna ask Julie.
“We can get them out with the back door.” When they arrived at the door they noticed that it had a lock on it. “Dame it, I forgot to bring the key. Furret, use iron tail on the lock.” Furret’t tail stared to glow and then he smashed the lock with his tail.
Meanwhile at the front of the house.
The hunter and James saw that Luna and Julie ran to get the Numel to safety, this did not the hunter like.
“Shit, I better stopped them. Aggron, Tryanitar. Take care of this loser, I’m going after the girls.”
The hunter ran in the opposite direction of the girls so he could stop them leaving James alone with the two Pokémon. ‘I better finished this up quickly.’ He thought.
Meanwhile behind the barn Luan and Julie had manged to get the door open and the Numel out from the barn.
“Come on, we better hurry.” Said Julie.
“You aren’t going now where.” The hunter came around the corner. “Those Numel are coming with me.”
Luna stepped forward. “They are not yours to steal.”
The hunter stared to laugh. “The little girl want to play hero, fine by me.” He took out a Poké ball. “Come out Golem.” Out came a Pokémon Luna knew.
“You’re up Misdreavus.” The ghost Pokémon went into action. “Use shadow ball.” Misdreavus send out a ball towards Golem, the attack impacted but it did little damage.
The hunter couldn’t help but laugh. “That’s all you got? Use rock blast Golem.” Golem sent rocks towards Misdreavus who was unable to doge them and was knock out.
Luna called back Misdreavus. ‘His Golem is tough but I’m not letting him steal Julie’s Numel.’ She grabbed an another Poké ball. “Come out Grovyle.” Out came the grass Pokémon.
The hunter snorted. “You think that is going to help you? Use rollout.” Golem rolled out like a ball and headed towards Grovyle.
“Get out of the was Grovyle.” Grovyle barley managed to get away but do to the effect of rollout Golem came around for another round, this time Grovyle was hit hard. He landed on the ground. “Please get up Grovyle.” He barley manged to get up.
The hunter smiled. “This is to easy, attack again Golem.” Golem came towards Grovyle again.
‘That attack is to powerful but I can’t lose.’ Golem came closer and closer, then she got an idea. “Grovyle, use leaf blade on the ground then jump back.” Grovyle couldn’t help but question his trainers order but he did it anyways.
He used leaf blade on the ground and it created a small pit, then he jumped back a little. Golem hit the pit and then he flew up in the air. Everyone was shocked over what happened, especially the hunter.
“What the hell?” He just looked up at Golem.
“Use leaf blade one more time.” Grovyle jumped up in the air and strike Golem hard.
Golem land on the ground with a bang and was out.
Meanwhile at the front of the house.
“Lucario use aura sphere on Tryanitar and Arcanine use flamethrower on Aggron.” Both attack hit and both the hunter's Pokémon past out. “Come on, let’s help Luna and Julie.” They ran in direction where the hunter ran.
James looked around the corner and saw all of them, Luna had just called back Misdreavus. He was about to act but then he saw the determination in Luna’s eyes so he decided to hang back and see what happened.
He saw that Grovyle made the small pit and Golem was launch in the air, Grovyle attack again and Golem was beaten.
“Shit, it’s time for me to run away.”
When James heart that he stepped out from the corner to black the hunter ways.
“Not so fast, you aren’t going anywhere.”
The hunter looked at his opportunity, in front of him was James with Lucario and Arcanine and behind him was the girls with Furret and Grovyle. He put his hands up in the air.
“I give up.”
It didn’t take long before officer Jenny came and arrested the hunter.
“I would like to thank you all, we have been after the guy for all long time.”
She thanked them while two other officers push the hunter into a police car and drove off.
James and the girls was standing by the main door watching as the police drove off with the criminal, Julie looked at James and Luna with a smile on her face.
“I can’t thank you both enough for saving my Numal’s.”
Luna was glad that she could help Julie with the Pokémon hunter but this experience left a bad taste, she could not comprehend that some humans is actually steeling Pokémon.

Amazing chapter!
the moment with James falling onto Luna was pretty funny after they got attack by the Furret and I like the battle between Luna and the hunter and I'm super excited to see the next chapter when it comes with Luna against Flannery! And it will definitely be worth the wait.. and there's something else I'm hoping to see where a certain Pokémon follows Luna and battle with her Grovle and soon that certain Pokémon joins Luna team

Great chapter! I enjoyed it. I personally think this Pokémon Hunter encounter is some good experience for Luna. It shows that the world isn't always sunshine and rainbows like her sister Celestia thinks. But I digress.
Keep this up! I look forward to the next chapter. But first, do what you gotta do in order to get your groove back. No rush.
