On a cold snowy Christmas night, the question finally came out and Twilight accepted. But that joyous moment of certainty was not the last moment of their lives. Many years lie ahead and marriage is not a free ticket to perfection. With their friends by their side, the new couple fights to steer clear of the typical bout of relationship problems. Like putting the toilet paper roll on backwards...
At least there's the honeymoon, right?

2. This is the sequel to The Calming Christmas Flame. I'll admit V-Day Fire was just a tease. ;)
3. The story's primary Twilight is the one from the human world, NOT from the pony world.
4. Dog Spike is a dog. He doesn't talk in this story.
5. Please understand that this is rated Teen, not Mature. There will be no explicit scenes.

Fairly sure at least some ponies view Celestia as a deity. Noting Rarity's "Celestia as my witness, I will never be sisterless again!" as a ponification of Scarlett O'hara's "God as my witness, I will never go hungry again!" As well as the apparently catholic priest holding a funeral that Sweetie Belle interrupted during the Let's Get Cheerilee Laid song.

While Earth-Twilight might not worship Principal Celestia (... she's still a nerd, she just might), Sunset is a pony. Ergo she might actually carry over the general faith from Equestria. If she does, Twilight'd have no real reason to say no, even if she has no faith of her own.
I am absolutely terrible, I will admit. Now you have to admit that that's essentially what the song actually was.
Really? I could understand not connecting back with her parents after the unpleasantness of her leaving, but with a connection between the two worlds that doesn't have the "once every 30 moons" limit there's nothing preventing her from having contact with Equestria, apart from her own shame or a worry that it would pull her away from her human home. And unless there's really bad blood between them (or she thinks it would be kinder to just let them continue thinking she's dead or whatever they think happened), Twilight should have the opportunity to meet her in-laws.
And while it may be acceptable that inviting Twilight Sparkle to Twilight Sparkle's wedding might be... inappropriate, not thinking about anypony beyond the portal would be a bit of a mistake when Twilight comes through it next time. Unless she leaves off visiting her other friends to avoid the "oh god oh god oh god that's me" issue with Sunset's significant other, they're going to bump into one another again sometime.
If you meant "She couldn't think of them right now," that would be different, but as it is it is a bit... troublesome.
Ignoring my nitpicky complaints, I love it.

I just noticed 'cause you did it twice in the same chapter, but it's beet-red like the vegetable not beat-red like "Wow, did someone just beat you? Your face is wicked red!" With that out of the way, the story continues to be super-cute!

Fun fact: I misspell Twilight's name 90% of the time when I type it and then have to go back and fix it. For some reason, she makes me seriously dyslexic. Apparently, she does this to me in my art too.

Bit of a harsh chapter, this one. All throughout, (at least in the second half,) it seemed like playfully harsh words that would soon lead to an affectionate falling action, but that resolution was never quite there. And the end was rather abrupt... Perhaps just building up tension to then resolve in a sweet, resounding moment next chapter? I hope so! xD I suppose time will tell...or just more reading, really.
