even though i don't really like clopfics because they are pretty messed up, somebody recommended to me that this was a well written story and i have to agree with him, I admit definitely one of the better clopfics i've read, it wasn't just stupid sex, it was well written and descriptive in parts other than the clopping. I need only say it was lovely. Gilda is a very sad character, no friends, no family, it was well executed the OC was a little too nice for me (it all the dark I read lol) but I’m happy to see she's ok, she’s going to be ok, gust fine.
First fic I've read with Gilda in it, and it didn't dissatisfy. Job well done. =D

I do feel obligated to comment about some things...
I think this would have been better if it was... uh... drawn out more. I mean, they pretty much go right from "tell me your story" to "I want to bury my stallionhood inside your warm feathers". And then they pretty much go right from "wow, most passionate love-making ever" to "let's live together in bliss" just as fast. I don't know. It would have lost some magic if spread out, but I think it would have worked out nicer.
She spends a night in a cold, lonely bed. She spends the next day getting Hazel to talk about himself, maybe helping him with stuff as 'repayment' for staying over as a inn-patron. She comments something about 'not wanting another cold, lonely night'. He mentions the same thing that happened last night, and maybe it would be great if they could... and the ball starts rolling...
I mean, seriously, the transition from character story-telling to the sudden 'And then they kissed!' was like a... a... a... I dunno. It's like sitting with a coworker in a lonely office and suddenly having her kiss you after you're talking about what you did yesterday. Jarring. Not bad, of course, but jarring.
I especially like the very, very not 'one night stand' feel of this fic, with things ending the way they do. My only thing there is that it might have been better if it was expanded. Maybe talk about what Hazel's dreams are with the place. Gilda talks about a place in those dreams. Etc.
But... look... it's a great story. Total fav. I'm just trying to be... helpful. Dunno if I was.

That's a new one, one keeps others away due to fear of repeating history and being possessive of partner again. Someone use that as story premise or I will.

There's a distinct reason why I stuck with clopfics, and that's because it's kinda sorta a cop-out to make up for my poor drawing-things-out skills. I'm pretty sure I've said this before, but I believe you are a far better romance writer than I simply because you know how to flesh things out and make believable and lasting relationships.
When I find the time, hopefully this Summer, I may try and take your advice and try something a little more potent than what I usually do. In any case, thanks for the advice and I'm glad you still liked it!
