Granny Smith is living in a nightmare, an old mare who has fought a thousand battles with death and always won. Now she's faced with a grim decision - whether or not to open a door. And in some strange and frightening way she knows that this seemingly ordinary door leads to the hooves of death itself.
@Sea Salt...
Not bad on using the black-&-white Twilight Zone episode "Nothing in the Dark" (S03, Ep16), you do the MLP tradition of nods to classic media proud . Definitely the correct call on using Fluttershy in the twist-role.
I remember watching that episode with my father. After that, I was never afraid of any of the other Twilight Zone episodes; though there were some episodes that mind-twist me even to this day, those classic episodes were so good...
5726856 Thank you well spotted. Hey how are you at editing?

Heh, as I mentioned, I used to watch the "old" television series with my father and grandfather, and remembered that episode (though I had to look up the episode title and number).
As for editing/proofreading, sadly I cannot devote the time towards it since I am a full-time worker and full-time parent (it is also the reason why I cannot dedicate to any fan-fiction writing myself ). Which is no small irony since I constantly comment upon the need for Editors &/or Proofreaders.
5726874 That's okay if you read a lot of my stories you may notice a pattern with the endings. That is that they just end. I take segments of the character's lives. This has already annoyed someone so I changed the ending to make the happy ending more clear.
I don't like having full conclusions to things because people's lives aren't like that. If this ever confuses you let me know.
That was a good adaptation of the classic Twilight Zone episode. Very well done!
5728680 Thank you I thought that these 2 characters would be perfect for it.
