Twilight Sparkle was and is one of the greatest Archmages known, but nopony gets -that- good without some development. What does it take to make a regular unicorn into the greatest of her era? And more, to become a Princess?
Well. . . These past few chapters have been something. Though I do agree with some of the others that the changeling invasion did feel a bit rushed instead of fast paced with I'm guessing you were going for. Yet, it didn't feel out of place for you style-wise.
5862833 I think it's more of 'don't fuck with me or I'll crush your organs'. The cracked ribs were just a side effect. But yes, the Twilight here is nicely done.
5775563 The switch from bad to good, seriously. Imagine if you were the Queen, you invade someone's wedding which you then get so beat up that it feels like death has stricken and then that person who's wedding you invaded said you could either do this or watch as all of your kids are killed one by one.
I know I've been here once upon a time, many months ago. That was the day I discovered this chain of stories, and even went so far as to ask how one writes 3 different sequels to a single story at the same time. Now, I've finished Archmage. Definitely one of the most well-written stories I've read here. Now I'm here wondering which sequel to read first. I love the possibilities and alternate paths that are explored in the Mirror, reading about the life of Star as Twilight's student is very intriguing, and finding out about more of twilight's life as an Archmage seems like it'd be just as great as the prequel. I honestly can't pick. The decisions one has to make when one is an avid reader. Life is tough.
This makes me think of this wierd idea for a book. Since twilight is the princess of all magic, luna's dark magic, and celestia's light magic, and cadence love, why can't their be princesses for all the magics and twilight being the middle. It would be a cool little series with each princess having their own story and soon combining together to create one massive story that's full of all the princesses. Since princesses are immortal, the times they get princesshood don't have to be right next to each other. I've left some ideas just in case somebody wanted to use it (wink)
Hmm, I like this version of Twilight.
5861616 yes the 'dont fuck with me cause ill break your ribs twilight' is a favorite
Nice a real mature version of Twilight. I mean seriously someone fuck up your wedding you just don't say "Oh it's ok" even if they had good reason.

Can't wait to see what comes next.
Keep up the good work, Loyal!

Clearly you haven't read Moonstone.
This story just went from comic relief to torture to more comic relief without skipping a beat or bothering me. That's impressive.

Moral of the story: do not fuck with a mare on her wedding day; if you do, make sure it's not Twilight 'I'm the motherfucking Archmage' Sparkle.

5998211 I get the impression her reaction is more caused by fear than any sincere belief in it.

And that's quite a moral. And yep, messing with Twilight on her wedding day is more worse than breaking a Pinkie Promise.
