Applejack battles love birds..

Applejack woke up in her bed as she heard the phone ring. It was 12 o clock in the night. She was having quite a nice dream, and it was too bad that it had to be ruined by the phone call.

Applejack got up and out of her bed sheets. She hoped that her family had not been awakened. She hurried down the stairs, and grabbed the phone. Who the hay would be calling at this late hour?

''Hello?'' Applejack said.

''Well hello Applejack it's Rarity..'' Rarity's voice said.

''Why in tarnation are you calling at midnight!!?'' Applejack almost screamed at the phone.

''It's kind of an emergency.'' Rarity said. ''Well I apologize for the hectic evening of all that setting up..''

Applejack felt relieved finally Rarity was quitting her silly shipping thing. ''Ah'm glad Rarity, we all have a little craziness in us, and Ah think it's good that your maturin and..''

''Absolutely!'' Rarity said. ''We set the whole thing wrong! It should never have been like a date! We should have a dance where they will have the perfect environment to ask one another out! I thought I found the two perfect couple to set up and make fall in love!''

Oh no. Applejack thought.

''You know Lyra Heartstrings and Bon Bon right?'' Rarity asked.

''Y-yeah.'' Applejack said.

''Well I decided to set them up at the ball at the mayor's place and well..'' Rarity said her voice cracked a little and nervous. ''I think you should come with Winona and a lasso..''

''What the hay happened. *yawn* Ah'll be over at the mayor's place..'' Applejack said in frustration as she hung up.

She wrote a note and pasted it on her bedroom door in case her family wondered where she was, she went outside and called Winona out of her doghouse and they headed to the mayor's place.

It was nearly impossible. A thousand flock of doves surrounded the entire place, they flew and pecked around, they were trying to eat the dancer's little biscuits and little cupcakes. They were swarming the entire place. Applejack bit at her lasso, what did Rarity do?

There was Rarity trying to shoo them away one by one, but failing tremendously doing so, she was wearing a very nice light blue outfit, and Applejack had to admit that she looked quite pretty in it.

She ran down the hill with Winona and then threw her lasso in the air, scaring the doves, and makes them have no choice but to fly away, and Winona barked loud enough that the doves would soon be flying out of the place.

The ponies cheered all except Lyra Heartstrings glaring at Rarity. ''Look fashionista, I'm already married to Bon Bon, stop setting us up, you creep!''

She walked away in disgust.

Rarity sighed and turned to leave. But Applejack stopped her.

''I-I'm sorry Applejack I just trying to d-do the right thing..'' Rarity said softly. ''I just thought doves would fit the moment perfectly..''

''Well it was a pretty darn crazy idea.'' Applejack said. ''Those doves could have killed someone they were so big and large in numbers, it was not only crazy, but a heck of a crazy thing to do.''

Rarity lowered her head a few teardrops were coming down. And that made Applejack's heart melt a little.

''But aren't we all a little bit crazy?'' Applejack said raising Rarity's head with her hoof and wiped the tears. ''C'mon, Ah'll walk ya home.''

The stars filled the night, the constellations could be seen, the world felt quiet and very silent for a little while, the world felt peaceful, and Applejack glanced at Rarity who was walking in total silence. Was this the moment? Applejack felt the need to say the words, which were not are you going to eat that? by the way. They were silent until they arrived at the carousel boutique.

''You were truly a hero..'' Rarity said.

''Saving the town from thousands of love birds does not seem too heroic to me..'' Applejack said with a chuckle.

Rarity had a small laugh, it was a very pretty laugh in a way. ''You were a true hero though. And a true hero deserves a wonderful loved one.''

Applejack slightly blushed and Rarity giggled.

''Though I have to say, I'm truly sorry..'' Rarity said with a sigh.

''Why do ya say that?'' Applejack asked.

''I was so immature, and I believed my dream was right when it came to this ''shipping'' thing, I'm sorry I was a total nut..'' Rarity said seeming ashamed.

''As Ah said, we all have a little nutso in us.'' Applejack said.

''Y'know I did forget one pairing that would make a nice ship..'' Rarity said with a nervous look on her face.

Oh no. Applejack thought at first what now?

''You and I.'' Rarity said.

Applejack looked at Rarity. Rarity looked at Applejack. Rarity was a beautiful mare, sometimes kind of crazy, and kind of nutso when it came to shipping, but Applejack felt she loved her.

''That's the best shipping you thought of yet..'' Applejack said softly.

''I was hoping you'd think so.'' Rarity said her face going pink.

''Dinner tomorrow?'' Applejack asked.

''Sure thing. Sweet dreams, AJ.'' Rarity said as she entered the house and started to close the door.

Applejack looked at Rarity's beauty. ''I sure will have sweet dreams.''

Author's Note:

This has been my first attempt at comedy.

I really love the Rarijack pairing and it works well with comedy.

I have not gotten this edited. Sorry. I just had to post this. If my editor has the time he'll go through this one day.

Idea's good, but the dialogue doesn't sound like it belongs to the characters who are speaking, and a goodly number of typos and such.

To be honest, that story was scary. It was great! Every time Rarity tried something crazy or the other, it was great to see how AJ reacted. Great story! Keep it up!
