Doppelbock

I'm really just a fan of silly, dumb stories. And beer.

E

A timeless foe threatens the land of Equestria, neigh the world and beyond, and only Princess Twilight Sparkle is able to prevent this crisis. She will most certainly embark on a legendary quest that will undoubtedly span many written volumes and be filled, filled to the brim with rock hard drama, life-changing decisions that may jeopardize friendships and even a few cheap laughs along the way. Or not.

This is…actually a very smart way to go about dealing with an epic quest. More should do it this way.
Was Ink Spot a traitor the whole time, then?

Oh. I thought the artifacts was like a gun for the playground bully dragon.

He's still going to inevitably make everyone else's day suck, but the gun can be the sole turning point.

Regardless, fun to read and funny read.

This ruined epic quests forever for me.

Oh well!

Um....Okay. That's one way to do it...But, it's easy.

Hmm, my lawyer has informed me that as an aspiring Dungeon Master for an upcoming D&D campaign, I am to look at this story and take it's lessons to heart!

And I will, NO WISHY-WASHY ARTIFACTS! None of that nonsense! Thank you for the inspiration!

5678231 This is the best news I've heard all day. Glad I could be the accidental muse.

5674399 The story would have ended earlier, but I felt the conclusion was a little weak so I introduced the cult's end of the news. Ink Spot was a traitor, but come on, cool dragon powers.

5679288 I suppose that's reasonable.

There are quite a few problems with grammar, punctuation, and awkward language. Also, the coda at the end drags on a bit too long. The idea is a good one, though. It's a well-trod idea among connoisseurs of RPG cliches, but you did a good job with it. If you cleaned up the basic mechanics of your writing, this would be a fantastic story.

5679785 Yeah, writing isn't my strong suit and what writing I did wasn't narrative focused. So at some point I'll have to do some research and find ways of cleaning up my structure. We all had to start somewhere right?

5679898 That's true. If you're looking for help improving, I suggest checking here.

This is a freaking awesome concept about an epic journey. Here, have a follow! I see future in you! :coolphoto:

How hilarious.

Well, now Ink Spot's actions make sense.

This was a fun read. Thank you.

Thank you Twilight for being so obvious! Who needs a character-building, friendship-forging quest when you can just take the shortcut?

Good efficient Twilight! That's the D&D wizard way of getting stuff done! Great job, and keep up the great writing

Well, nice try but Twilight's a total baddass is just plain awesome.

Here's my question though, Is Ink happy that this whole thing was a miserable failure? Or is she miserable because this whole thing was a miserable failure? I can't tell.

Great story either way.
