New entry: 'The Conversion Bureau'
The Conversion Bureau was the name given to the section of the Equestria government charged with the alteration of as much of the galaxy's sapient life as possible into Ponies to live inside Equestrian borders.
Shortly after determining the state of the galaxy (which was in the midst of the Reaper War) the Conversion Bureau hit upon the idea of offering themselves as a 'safe place', a nation that the Reapers would be physically unable to enter or attack, due to the anti-technological Barrier. As planned, they immediately had much of the refugees of the galaxy seeking asylum inside their borders. That choice between being a pony or being a husk was seen as a 'no-brainer'.
However, shortly after Equestria began to hit refugee saturation, the renowned SPECTER Commander Shepard managed to secure an audience with Equestria's ruler, Princess Celestia. Before, she had refused all communication with the outside world unless it was with the Conversion Bureau.
With the hard and fast persuasion that the Commander was famous for, Shepard managed to convince the Princess that not even Equestria's Barrier would save them from the Reapers when they turned their attention to her world. Thus, Equestria simply could not afford to 'sit the war out'.
Equestria's troop contribution to the Alliance was minimal: the still planet-bound civilization had less then ten thousand trained troops to its name. The main contribution the nation was famous for were the 'Safe-Zone' spells. Based on the original Barrier, these were designed as anti-Reaper defenses, and affected Reaper technology only, allowing allied troops the ability to rest and recuperate where they were safe from counter-attacks.
The Safe-Zone spell was not a perfect defense. As Shepard pointed out to the Princess originally, they were still vulnerable to sabotage from Indoctrinated troops. Additionally, the Safe-Zone spell was Alicorn-level, meaning only four individuals in the entire galaxy could cast one. Naturally, those four were prime targets for Reaper assassination/Indoctrination, and the utmost care was taken to ensure their safety.
However, this had the result of exposing the troops of Equestria, as well as its four most influential inhabitants, to the battlefields and planets all across the galaxy. They marveled at the grace of the Asari, the toughness of the Krogan, the sheer determination of the Humans, and the forgiveness of the recently-reconciled Quarians and Geth. They saw the cultures of the galaxy in the rawness that only war can bring.
After the war's conclusion, not only had the driving force behind the refugee influx disappeared, but the motivation behind the backers of the Conversion Bureau had disappeared as well. The Conversion Bureau was officially dissolved in 2188.
How about Tiberium Earth for the next "location". Maybe a trio of chapters one for each Tiberium War, as there is quite a difference between them expecially with the third as the Scrin are involved.
First Tiberium war 1999-2002
Second Tiberium War 2030
Third Tiberium War 2047-2049

There was a Tiberium wars and TCB crossover.
5709609 Different authors do thing differently so even though there is one I would still like to see how sora would do it.
Suggestion: G3 Ponyville - Where every pony already behaves like a newfoal.
Bonus points if Xlestia is so creeped out by it that she changes it to an unconversion bureau.
g1 my little pony
Fate Stay Night. Although, if that happened Gil would probably show up and nuke Equestria himself.
anyone thinking elder scrolls for the next one and the Deidra getting pissed at the ponies breaking so dang easily that it wasn't worth even trying, or they wouldn't play at all and just shut down. as well as being wonderfully tasty stupid dragon snacks that could be baited be one foal possible actually only a baby horse and not a really a pony (also note given dragons here are a part of god pantheon killing them or changing them... wont be easy)
also
-> (also I'd love to see what moon sugar effect on pony society is ... or better Skooma and Argonian hist tree sap... wonder if the hist tree's will be anti equestrian the second they start murdering funa... I'd imagine so... argoninans into the oblivion gate anyone?)
A world assimilated by the Borg.
Pot, meet kettle.

Still wanna see it here.
As a general note to the author, I'd love to see what happens if the TCB with XLestia runs across a really wacky place... a Loony place...
In acse I'm being subtle on accident here, I wanna see Xlestia's response to the cast of the Loony Tunes universe coming after her, likely with Pinkie defecting to become their disciple.
5710163 HAHAHA, XD that would be hilarious!
CB vs Earth, War of the Worlds style AKA ponies get sick.... Now that I think about it, that's not a bad idea....
Star Wars (because intergalactic travel, massive armies, and orbital bombardments); Command & Conquer Generals (because Americans' Particle Cannons, Chinese Nukes, GLA's SCUD Storms, and every general ability that the Zero Hour Generals have); Command and Conquer Tiberium Series (because, although Tiberium is useful in things, it is a highly-toxic alien substance - the Conversion Bureau dome-thingie only affects Earth-based materials, and Tiberium is from outside the Milky Way...) ; there's probably more, but I can't think of anything right now....
Prototype, I want to see if the conversion serum would affect the monster of manhattan
Infamous 2, xenolestia vs the patron saint of new Mariah... What's a magic missile to a LIGHTNING BOLT.
What about the world of Girl Genius - where the barrier, and the conversion serum, merely put Xlestia on a par with the local mad scientists?

Xlestia probably ends up on a dissection table the moment she shows herself; Yes, when everyone's still convinced of her benevolence and she hasn't even brought up conversion. Mages are assholes like that :p
How about the world of the X-Men? Most mutants would probably be attracted by the promise of a new home where they could live in peace, but what if Conversion doesn't remove their powers? Would the ponies & Xlestia be able to deal with other ponies flying around, (without wings) controlling the elements, superstrength, laser eyes, telepathy, telekinesis , etc, etc, all without recourse to magic?
Actually, the ponies probably could seeing all the different species with different powers that inhabit Equestria already. I just get the feeling Xlestia probably wouldnt be comfortable seeing average pony's wielding such abilities, as it could threaten her own grip on power.

I get the distinct feeling that Magneto would either be really enthusiastic about that idea, or downright murderous. Neither are good.
Needless to say, Professor X wouldn't approve, and probably neither would most of the core cast. They fought for too long to take an easy out. (In their crossover with Star Trek, they turned down Dr Beverly when she offered to remove their mutant powers.)
5711372 This is if Alaya does not sic the Counter Guardians on her ont he very instant the Barrier appear.
And if the Barrier has negative effects on Gaia's Reality Marble, you can count Primate Murder on the feast... or worse, ORT.
5711835 I did think of both Magneto's & Professor X's probable reactions, but I suppose it comes down to whether they can stop the barrier or not.
I can imagine the Professor exhausting every option (And he'd have a tonne of options) before even considering Conversion, but I honestly have no idea how Magneto's views of Mutant superiority would fit into a Conversion Bureau scenario. The only thing I am sure of is that whatever he does, it wouldn't be good for Xlestia as he'd either be fighting her from outside her barrier or undermining her from inside as I can't see Conversion mellowing him out too much.
As for the average mutant on the street though? They'd probably jump at the chance to leave their persecution behind just like those times when Magneto tried to create his own Mutant societies, the only questions being just what kind of life they'd try to make in Equestria & whether Pony-Magneto would be there leading it & drawing Xlestia's worried attention as he does so. For if he decides that 'his' (read: Mutants, now Pony-Mutants) people arent getting a fair shake & need a leader...
And the ponies thought Nightmare Moon & Sombra were bad.
5711863 I completely forgot about the DAA and ORT. Gil almost looks like a Mercy Killer at this point. But I can imagine Gil being very pissed at Xlestia.

-oid comes from -oides, "form of". Another example of that is the scientific name for the Raccoon dog, Procryon procryonoides, the latter meaning "like a raccoon".
EDIT: and andro and gyno are Greek-based, not Latin.

>Civilization
One word: Gandhi.

I shall make a fic just like yours except there will be a difference. Major difference. If I have time to write it that is.
5715894
Lemme know when you write it all I'll give it a read.
5716347 Ok.
TWO EPISODES OF MASS EFFECT
I wonder how Xlestia would handle the universe of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
5717724
Well, she does have a spiral stuck on her forehead. And trying to channel too much spiral energy would auto-evolve her into a humanoid shape...
5717909
Oh dear lord. Well at least Simon or Kamina will take her down in that case.
5711045
While you may be right, the D&D lover lover inside me can't help but says this:
Only if you compare the basic, lvlone magic missile spell to the lvl 3 lightning bolt spell.
But what's a lightning bolt to Isaac's greater missile storm?!
lvl 5, large area, no friendly fire risks, no fears of elemental resistance, and no annoying reflex saves!! (and when only one target, can match HellBall, an epic spell, for damage)
(in case it's not obvious enough, this comment should NOT be taken seriously)
