Solar Triumphant

I am she, the ivory wings of golden splendor,

Shining absolute over the mountains.

The brilliant presence sailing the world over,

Has resided under my control,

And none may take what is my right,

All foes upon my lands and skies shall hide,

Obey my laws and you shall prosper well.

As the filly grows into a fair mare,

And the colt into a stallion strong,

I shall transform against my enemies.

If my word cannot turn your armies,

Then you will know my wrath and ruin,

And you will learn how I have ruled so long,

Know why riches and joy pour forth to those under my care.

My mortal children always call out my name,

Seeking my aid or favor in my gaze,

Hoping to hear my knowledge and wisdom.

And I shall always remain close by to hear their cries,

But only my shadow at my side forever lies,

Their partings peaceful knowing I've stood for them,

But will my sorrow be to see a new star in the skies.

Many foals have I taught over the centuries,

Children once to whom I light candles now,

To each and all my fondest memories,

A room of light someday to glow like the sun.

Who amongst you can truly know my sorrow,

War and peace have been quelled in my heart,

Oh please tell me why I can't follow my beloved foals.

The world needs my sun to shine near and far,

And I shine it down on the weak and strong,

I pour forth its might on the good and the evil.

All Know must my kindness and generosity,

But if against my subjects is a war you wreak,

Then observe the wrath of my blazing star,

Know true terror before my ferocity.

What is ours shall never be yours,

Not a single stallion or mare shall bow to you,

Know that you time is up and vengeance is due,

For each of my children you hurt and slew.

No mercy for your rulers who remained behind,

In ivory towers, fat and without callous,

Know me and my great power.

But no oppression shall be given unto the fearful,

Those who cowered under an iron gaze,

Your children shall grow fat with kindness and joy,

To me they shall be loyal children beneath my grace.

The riches your greed demanded shall be theirs,

And the terror upon them shall cease its pull.

And all the world shall know me as the ivory titan of the sun.
