Ahuizotl devises a plan so cunning and sinister that it is bound to put an end to Daring Do's meddling. Can she find a way out of this one? The end is up to you, the reader.

That's a good plan. He would definitely want her fully presentable to the unknowing adoptive parents. Her wings could allow her the chance to get the keys and bolt for it while the guide can "Try" to stop her. Then all it'd take is a trip to Princess Celestia who could no doubt use an Age Spell to return her to normal.

This is also very possible. It is also why I like the idea of the ending being open. Allows the reader to decide how Daring Do will come out of this situation. Will she manage to escape being lost as a child forever? Will she overcome Ahuizotl's most diabolical scheme yet? Only can decide.
One of the my favorite aspects of the arts is when a viewer or reader is able to make more out of what is presented by the creator. I thank you for participating and making this story more fun. :)
I think this could be funny if the adoptive parents is actually Rainbow Dash and another mane 6 character but their are too dressed up to be detectable and then Boom. Super Unexpected revenge plan.

Ooh! Let me know if I am understanding this right.
Rainbow Dash, or another member of the Mane 6, knows that Daring Do has been taken prisoner and has arranged to be the adoptive parent. They go in pretending like they are going to take Daring Do far, far away until, suddenly, they turn the tables on Ahuizotl by giving him a taste of his own medicine by dowsing him with water from the Spring of Renewal before zipping Daring Do off to get restored.
As Rainbow Dash and/or some pony else from the Mane 6 takes off we hear Ahuizotl in a grumpy, childish voice crying out "Curse you, Daring Do!"
Is that kind of what you were thinking? If not, I would love to hear your version of the finale. :)
5698993 You have it right. Here's a add on maybe its Fluttershy and technically they had to have sign the papers which makes them the parents of Daring do and After the plan goes down and Daring do Wins. Daring would maybe ask them for maybe some private time as maybe a bonding for parents?

So perhaps it would be Fluttershy with Rainbow Dash coming in to sign the papers? Or do you think Flutters would bring along Big Macintosh? It'd probably be really funny if it were Big Mac and Fluttershy since Flutters would be so timid and nervous as she signed the papers while Ahuizotl would get a bit frustrated over Big Mac answering his questions with "Eeyup!" or "Nope!".
I think it would be cute if Flutters were able to take Daring Do home to care for. Perhaps Ms. Do would want to stay a foal for awhile so Ahuizotl doesn't soon realize she's in safe hands and can be aged to normal at any time. Fluttershy has wonderful mommy qualities and would do well to keep it a secret. I'm sure Ms. Do would also enjoy the break from being a solitary adventurer.

So the way you'd see it is Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy doing the adoption? That would work since the two definitely are seen together enough to show they could pull it off. They have a strong bond.
Since Daring Do would know of the location for the Spring of Renewal she most definitely could do it again if she ever needed a vacation. I'm sure feeling little and carefree would be a relief between her normal life living in a rundown house by herself either writing books or chasing down Ahuizotl.

Now that would add a lot of depth to Ms. Do's character. Discovering how being regressed triggers memories of having lost her parents at such a young age. Perhaps she became an adventurer in order to feel a sense of her parents being with her? Kind of like she's out there doing it for them?
Another interesting possibility is that the hat she wears could've been her mom or dad's on the expedition. That would make it a very sentimental piece and why she is often very protective of it.
This could also explore the possibility that Ahuizotl is responsible for her parents untimely demise. During the expedition Ahuizotl showed up to steal an artifact while trapping Daring Do and her parents in one of his many deathtraps. They found a way to get Daring out but had to sacrifice themselves to assure her safety. Their last words being to pass the hat through a small crack and reminding her that they'd love her forever.
Fluttershy would be a great pony to confide these feelings with. While she's regressed she could feel all nice and safe while maybe Rainbow Dash goes off to tackle any plots in which Ahuizotl or another villain may be up to. This could make writing stories a lot easier since we all know how Rainbow Dash holds back when she talks about herself. <LoL!>

I've actually taken to allowing the endings to write out as you and I just did. The reason largely being that only you and really one other person presented an idea. I had hoped for more but I'm happy with how you were kind enough to help develop such a great ending.
If I happen to do another story with Daring Do I will likely base it off what you and I discussed. I like the idea of Flutters being a mom as Dashie goes about playing hero in her place. Kind of a "Ghost Hero" instead of "Ghost Writer".
All I need is the right inspiration to make it happen. So I thank you for planting the seed for what could be a great future adventure.

That's actually a brilliant idea. Especially when you go with how Celestia stated, "I had hoped that one day Sunset Shimmer would come back..." The inflection of her tone could be seen as a mother who had such aspirations for her daughter while feeling a guilty conscience for how things turned out.
Having a childhood where you are the daughter of a Princess who has so much responsibility would be rough. Sunset could've grown very upset feeling as if she had been neglected. Then when things didn't go as she'd hope with her studies to impress her mom she most definitely would've done what she did. The issues built up from a largely missing parent to whom all you wanted to do was please and you failed would definitely make you want to regress to when life was simpler. When she knew Celestia was being more a mom then the one responsible for all Equestria, the raising of the sun, and the raising of the moon.

5702675 Thanks anyways I have a special cover story on explaining why Sunset wears diapers. When she appeared in the world she didn't know what to dress up in. So she accidently wore diapers as if it was normal wear. Soon it was too late but she still kept them on. and yes when I have the first chapter done I'll have the story up and ready to go
What's amusing is that you actually write your stories in a way similar to that of a children's book writer but yet, your stories aren't cloying or sappy.

I deeply appreciate the comment. I'm strongest in writing in a style meant for younger readers. Though I have also found if you do it right the style makes reading through a whole lot easier.
FiM Fiction has been a great testing ground for me to experiment with various styles and content. There have been definitely more misses than hits but the fact this site allows for your work to appear as it does in MS Word, or a similar word processor, really helps.

One commenter thought it'd be Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy in disguise. This played out in freeing Daring Do until the time was right to have the effects of the Spring of Renewal reversed by Celestia.
Another reader inserted their OC as a spy who broke in, took Daring Do, and flew away.
Do you have any ideas? If so, I'd love to hear them.

It's just I'm trying to think who Azzy would chose as new parents when it's clear Daring Do still has her mind and could communicate with them that something was wrong in some way.

Well, my original thinking was that the parents would be either from outside Equestria or from such a remote part of it that they'd have no idea she could be the real Daring Do if even there was any to-do about Daring Do.
Mr. 'Zotl seems to have far reaching connections. So I don't think it'd be out of the question for him to make such an arrangement.
There is also the possibility that "The Parents" would know she actually was Daring Do and want her to raise as their own. Perhaps believing they could dovetail off her fame as she grew back up and exhibited her talents? Ms. Do would logically try to escape while these vicarious ponies would downplay it all as "Being a huge fan."
In any case, I saw her escaping eventually. Though how she escaped, whether the Spring's effects would be reversed, etc. were all to anybody's guess. :)

The idea was for those who read the story to share how they felt it should end.
Daring Do is an amazing character who is capable of astounding things. So I was excited to see how readers would get her out of this situation. There have been some really great ideas that have made for fun discussions. But I, personally, will not add anymore to it. The fun in reading how others perceive the ending is just too good and far more appropriate.
It kind puts you in the position of Rainbow Dash as she reads the books. This would be like the next-to-the-last chapter and she has to stop to go to work. So, all day, she's thinking on "Daring's going to do this!" or "She'd get out because of that!"
I'm always one who enjoys the power of imagination and creative freedom. :)
5968611 Personaly My on idea on how something like this would end would have to be something along the lines of two things. A she fakes slowly regressing to a foal to the point he lowers his guard enough to let her escape. Then while he is detracted looking for her for the new parents she takes a moment and in a tom and Jerry like moment pushes him into the fountain making him the foal. with the effects of the fountion wearing off sense she only had a little bit and he was compleaty drenched in it meaning he will be a foal longer and is even yonger making his voice go away. She gives him to the parrents. with the warnning that hes really fussy and will need to learn some manners.

She gets the babish torture for a while. the orphanage was a big bluff to get her to behave and while he was getting all the treasures he wanted. It wasent fun anymore. No challenge no one to try and stop him. Nothing left but shiny rocks. He was bored and a little depressed about it. Getting an idea. He "forgot" to lock her door to the nusery one night and while she excaped she founed an antidote that would allow her to age back to her normal age (give or take a year of two.) and managed to steal his treasures again leaving a "angry" Ahuizotl with a faint hint of a badly hidden smile and was that a wink??

Those are both really good ideas. The way you described them were both very easy to mentally play out. I honestly couldn't pick a favorite between the two as each has its charm. However, for originality, I'll say the one where Ahuizotl gets bored having nobody to challenge him in his ruthless endeavors is fun to think on. It goes with the concept of how some things really aren't worth doing if you don't have some degree of challenge to provide a true sense of accomplishment. Rivals / Nemesis' truly can make, or break, someone's desire to do something. :)

I think you should have rainbow dash and Twilight fly by and see alhoitiz retreating from it but they find daring do being foal napped and the work together to stop the villain.

After seeing "Stranger Than Fanfiction", I could genuinely see this idea working out. Especially since A. K. Yearling / Daring Do seems to confide in Rainbow Dash and take her quite seriously.
Having Dash and Twilight fly over in time to stop Ahuizotl would go well with a plot focused on how Daring Do has fully embraced the idea of working with others and set Dash up as a backup in case things didn't go right on her quest. :)
