Yeah now that I think about it Octavia probably has a buck that could compete with Applejack's. Other than that, hillarious way of dealing with Chrysalis, I have a feeling the changeling queen probaably will be terrified of both Barrier and Octavia when waking up, one disjointed her jaw, almost choked her out and even broke her horn, the other pretty much blew up her ovaries, painfully.

How dare you end this you gave me plenty of warning and gave me time to accept the end!

You may both be pleased to know I am in the process of figuring out the sequels idea at this moment. All I can say right now is that it involves a lot of races.

Hmmm, for some reason I thought new Equestria was harem based... I was kinda expecting a bit more RomCom elements. But, well I do like the adventure, Chrysalis is the first sort of rival Octavia has faced and Crysi was oneshotted in the filly nads. I kinda feel Octi should be beating the fillys off with a stick. Barrier being a desirable and all. They should have all sorts of friends trying to buddy up with her just for a chance at being considered.

5901118 Sadly, yes. The general plot to the sequel is done as of now. There will be a Crystal Empire side-chapter of sorts before too much longer, though they won't be siblings. Too many inconsistencies with that idea sadly. There will be a grudge match though. ;)

The story so far has been great. The right amount of laughter mixed in with a sense of adventure, and the feels. OH GOD THE FEELS. I also like how you tie things from the show into your story, like the chest piece shining armor wore during the wedding. think if it ends well and the epilogue is basicly an update on Octavias pregnancy I'd be happy even of you didn't make a sequel. Of course if you did make a sequel I would very much be happy.

And Octavia didn't even need her frying pan.

You scared me when Octavia popped up. For a moment I was grinning, then I remembered 1) the title, 2) her pregnancy, 3) common to the point of cliche twists and feared someone was gonna risk loosing a child. Thank God it was Chrysalis in the like of fire for that twist. *mopes his sweating forehead*

The image of Twilight's revelation of being a niece was pretty hilarious. That and Cadance being weary enough that Barrier had time to dish out some quick lectures before she caught up to them.

I had a mental image of Chrysalis trying to vomit her internals into externals while lying on the ground, thanks. That being said, it was changelings that brought me into the fandom, and you can't make me hate them. They're the perfect combination of creepy and cute. They're cuepy!

Barrier: Like I said, beaten by BUGS! Now either give me a position helping get the guard and reforming to military back into something Equestria can be proud of, outside of a few outstanding individuals who Equestria can already be proud of or else.
Council in charge of the guard: Or else what? What could you possibly do that wouldn't be a crime that would have you thrown in the dungeons for likely the rest of your years, despite you closeness with the princesses and leave your mare a expectant single mother? Last we remembered, your ways of handling things usually involve crippling or killing.
Barrier: I go public, with the backing of either 2 or all 3 of the Princesses, hell just one would be enough, and tell all of Equestria that I said something like this would happen. That the guard was a joke and that a hive of insects could take over, and that you all denied me a position well before this happened that could have helped prevent this. And let me tell you, with how they handled the changelings, I doubt they could protect you all from an angry mob of who knows how many ponies demanding your heads for allowing this to happen.

“I must say,” the queen struggled to catch her grasp, rubbing her cracked chitin painfully. “I didn’t think any of you ponies had such capabilities,” The queen punctuated each word with a solid strike to the unicorn’s jaw, causing his head to bounce up and down on the concrete like a ball. “It’s a shame I have to kill you,” she sneered, applying more pressure to Barrier’s horn, causing him to groan in pain as his head spun, “even now I can feel your love for that useless earth-pony,” She glanced at Octavia with obvious disinterest. “Shining Armor is quite the catch, but you…” She licked her lips in a manner that made the dizzy unicorn beneath her squirm. “Well, maybe I’ll keep you after all. Just have to deal with this nuisance…” She put more pressure on his horn, lowering her head and snaking her tongue to his snout. “I’ll enjoy break-” The queen’s jaw snapped shut on her tongue and her eyes became a pair of harlequin saucers.
“Hooves. Off,” Octavia spoke in a flat and threatening tone as the queen crumpled to the ground, trying to cry out in pain, but only managing pained dry-heaves. It looked like she wanted to throw up, but her body was unable to.
Octavia, a mare who spent near eight-hours a day on her hind-legs, had steadily snuck towards the queen after she showed such disinterest in her. Queen Chrysalis, paying no heed to the “useless earth-pony”, hadn’t noticed when Octavia crept behind her, braced herself on her forehooves and delivered the buck to end all bucks.

Well...Chrysalis has been very emphatically removed as a threat, especially if that also killed her ability to shapeshift....not to mention Tavi may have just removed her ability to produce eggs. Now just to have someone more diplomatic deal with her swarm.
