So I don't exactly have references, but I would like to offer services in case you felt another editor, or something similar, was required.

Just wanted to point out the occasional misuse of the term "all but (blank)". In the last chapter, you used the term when describing his job offers.

Incorrect use: The flowers were all but yellow, much like the vibrant glare of the morning sunlight through fresh urine.

In this way, you initially say that the flower is not yellow, then go on to say it is yellow.

Correct use: The flowers were all but dull, radiating with a spectrum commonly achieved through vomiting a combination of supreme pizza and cranberry juice.

By doing this, you are telling the reader that the described object/objects are presented in a wide variety of colors, excluding a dull or pale coloring.
