The following excerpt is from the Canterlot Times:
Several days ago, the town of Ponyville was visited by a traveling Minotaur. Said Minotaur goes by the name of Iron Will and runs ‘assertive’ training classes for the timid individual. It was during his stay that the Minotaur really spiced up the quaint village and locals say they could hear his voice when he spoke from even the other side of town.
It was towards the end of his stay that the incident happened. As most know by now, the mage known as Robin the ‘Tactician’ has taken up residence in the Everfree forest. Robin had slowly began to integrate into pony society and is now more or less welcome by the residents of the town.
It was early morning when Iron Will and Robin crossed paths while walking through Ponyville. According to eyewitness' the two got into some sort of argument which resulted in a strange confrontation.
According to the town's librarian, Robin was in town to pick up books from the library that day and the fateful encounter happened nearby. Robin, who reads often, was making the mistake of reading while walking. It was this mistake that caused the mage to walk into the large Minotaur.
In response to this mistake, Iron Will began demanding for apology. Eye witnesses claim that the bull was 'flexing his muscles' and 'tried to look threatening'. In response to these aggressive actions, Robin appeared, according to bystanders, 'uninterested' and 'bored'.
With Robin's apparent lack of interest, it angered the bull enough for him to start pushing his finger against Robin's chest. With the physical contact, Robin chose that moment to retaliate. The only problem is, he made no visible movement. Ponies swear that Robin won the battle without even lifting a finger.
Apparently, after Iron Will threatened the mage, Robin merely locked gazes with him which began a simple staring contest. Said staring contest lasted almost a minute before the peculiar event occurred. Ponies say that during the tension, Iron Will's face became more and more troubled until it transformed into outright terror. The bull, after the one minute time frame, immediately began screaming and running away in terror. In his mad rush to get away, he caused mild amounts of property damage. This lasted for almost five minutes until Iron Will blacked out. He was later taken into custody and dropped off at the Canterlot Asylum.
Iron Will is currently recovering from shock and refuses to speak to the doctors about what happened. The only information they could discern regarding his condition is that he's now terrified of the dark to the point where he's developed a phobia of it. In addition, the Minotaur often wakes from his sleep screaming about a "six, red eyed demon". Doctors and Officials alike are baffled as to how such a thing could transpire from a mere staring contest. Officials are unable to detain Robin for simply staring into another's eyes and for defending himself against an aggressor. In addition, the unicorns that had been employed to investigate the incident found no trace of residue magic, which only confused investigators further. Many of the townsfolk side with Robin, claiming he did nothing wrong and the bull had been causing trouble around town.
Canterlot Times attempted to schedule an interview with Robin, but was denied such. When reporters visited his home he continued to refuse and further threatened to take violent actions for trespassing on private property without a formal invite. The mystery still eludes Doctors and more information will be released once further testing has been compiled.

I know that Robin IS Grima, but I didn't think that he can use its power to intimidate Iron Will into shock.
Damn I need to read up on the character of Robin, and just remembered another way to achieve godlike power make a pact with a demon.
Geez, if he can scare Iron Will with just a stare, then what else does he have up his sleeve besides the powers he already has?...
7021335 Strange, isn't it?
I wouldnt mind a Robin and Trixie Pairing,
It would be funny if Twilight took it upon herself to 'formally' ask Robin about what happened, or even learn more about him as a individual. Because two bookish beings would have quite a bit of common ground as in many ways they are like the other and not.
Two things:
1- I'm totally shipping Robin with Trixie, it is bound to happen! Go S support rank!
2- Deja vu, yeah. Dream about reading this, but there was more flying octopus on the sky outside my window.
P.S. Feel sorry for lile old Iron Will though, but meh. U dont mess with the vessel of Grima!
P.S.S. Just noticed... why wasnt I following you? I though I already did. The meh have been double.

Then, the author have succeeded in is mission. Confusing the shit out of ya xD. I swear that is his main goal all along, but we will never know. Cause he just smirks and scroll down this comments while shaking his head on the inside. Or something.
You really are dropping chapter after chapter upon us, aren't you?
7021335 Grima is labelled a 'Divine Dragon' for very good reason. It brought Validar back to life, for one. It created an army of undead. It managed to basically destroy an entire world. Are you really surprised that Grima's host would be able to create vivid hallucinations through mere eye contact?
Not to mention, in this story, Grima isn't split between two hosts. No future and past Robins. Only this one. Which means that Grima's full power exists within Robin's body. Thus, it stands to reason that it can do more than it normally would be able to do.
7021341 Nope! So many fucking nope.
Wow, that was uncalled for. Millennial old Wizard bumping into some bull while he himself is reading?
Uhhh... Six eyed demon... Why I remember very vaguely the Daddy of Raven from Teen Titans?
7020737
That's quite right, however, I meant to say why not use Nosferatu, or some weaker equivalent (never played the games, so I'm not sure) and then drain them until they pass out or succumb to some other low-movement equivalent (giving the bonus of a lower blood-flow so a longer time to mess around without having a fear-riddled heart racing the subject to bleeding out), and then attempt the experiment?
DEMON LORD POWERS GO!
( I know nothing of fire emblem, I came here for wizardry, stayed for badass birds.)
7021384 No, he doesn't know everything you're going to do, but that doesn't help him because you know everything that he's going to do!
...Nightmare Grima?
You're making it incredibly obvious that Robin is tapping into/awakening Grima's power. How many chapters before we see this potentially cataclysmic problem get fully addressed?
7021335 I don't know what's happening, yay!
7021490
7023535
Welp, I said 'or something' for a reason...
P.S. That thing will give me nightmares for a while, damn.
7022267 Because Robin needed to experiment on a live creature, regardless if it was sedated or not. This is an ability that will be best serve when the individual is alive. I kinda skipped to the end of the experiment where Robin was more or less... 'playing' with the remaining limbs. The main experiment took place while the rabbit was alive.
7022505
Who knows?
... oh, wait...
I do!
7023557 And that something is me laughing evilly while I watch everyone try to guess what could possibly happen in the future. The best part? It's a two step process. Most are guessing correctly on the first part. The second part? Refer to the evil laugh.
I love Grima so much, even if his actual face is ugly as all hell.
And this is kids, why you don't mess with the host of a Divine Dragon of the unliving and destruction! He'll just make you see zed Divine Dragon and give you nightmare fuel for the rest of your life!
7021341 But he already technicality has a pact with a 'demon' known as Grima.
7023568
Correct again, but, I suppose I'll reiterate, again, and ask why did the self-proclaimed tactician (i.e. mindful personage) not use their skilled power of Nosferatu to drain just enough life in the subject (small rabbit) to keep it alive and to also sedate it in some measure (be it sleep or fully catatonic)?
And, again, I ask this question not for any particular concern for cruelty towards animals as that was clearly not Robin's intent, animals are just deceptively expressive in Equestria, but because I thought Robin had the sort of control with his "dark" magic that he might magically sedate someone with his own power so that he might prolong the amount of time he has to experiment on a live subject before it could potentially bleed out (like, for example, if the subject were fully awake with its heart beating at a million-miles an hour due to fear, pumping gobs of blood, something which would dramatically shorten the window of opportunity for experimentation where a limb has been removed, making it exceedingly easy for blood to be lost from the body's enclosed circulation system).
If I was incorrect in the assumption of control on my part, if you wanted Robin to intentionally show a disquieting emotional detachment from the world around him, or if you just didn't consider Robin might do that with his "dark" magic, so be it. I just wanted a bit of clarification.
7024985 It's mainly a control issue. Robin didn't have the kind of power to continually operate on a subject while simultaneously keeping them alive via magic. It was the main reason why Robin had to convince himself that a single life was not worth more than the majority. If he were to repeat the scenario at his current level (after the several month time skip) he could easily keep the creature alive while experimenting. He would also go as far as to wipe the creature's mind of the event.
7025120
Interesting. But, if Robin couldn't drain the rabbit until it was before death's door, or even until it went merely unconscious, and then shut off the draining spell, then how was Robin capable of healing others or using only part of his life-force in a spell? This explanation makes it sound like all or nothing. Am I missing something?
7025192 I believe this line of conversation is slowly devolving into madness, but let me try to explain everything from the beginning.
When Robin used Nosferatu before the time skip, he could directly influence the life force of any living organism. A life force is something every living thing has in varying amounts. I like to think of life force as a finite pool of energy within the body, similar to Ki from the Dragon Ball series. The depth of one's pool can be influenced by a number of variables: physical size, physical strength, magical strength, and willpower; willpower arguably being the greatest influence as most sapient individuals have a greater will to live than an animal.
Think back to when Robin healed the colt in chapter 26. Robin is an adult, his magical might eclipses that of the princesses, and with everything he's gone through he arguably has a willpower to rival that of any anime hero (I like to think of Luffy from One Piece, his will most notably shown during the impel down arc). With that in mind, filling the life pool of a child is easy work for him, even before the time skip. The reason why he collapsed then is for a number of reasons. He didn't have the control he does now, he was distracted by memories of his past, and his emotions were conflicting with his personality. Because of this he drained much more from his body then was needed at a faster rate. Combined with the mental conflict he was going through at the moment his body simply shut down once the adrenaline began to leave his system.
Fast forward to the experiment. Judging from your previous comment, I may have made something unclear. Robin never once drained the rabbit of his life force during the experiment. He was constantly pumping his own life and that of the area around him into the creature. He was trying to go beyond the normal capabilities of Nosferatu and repair entire limbs and organs from nothing. Before he could influence the rate of healing to super human levels, but he could never replace that which was cut out or removed.
While the rabbit was bleeding out, Robin was pouring his life force into the creature in an attempt to remake a limb he had cut off. If you assume he didn't get it right on the first try, then by the time the rabbit finally died he had several limbs removed. Robin wanted to utilize this ability primarily when the subject was alive, as that would be case if he needed to use it on himself. He wanted to see the cause and effect. He made some headway in his research, but eventually the rabbit's wounds were too great for Robin to heal at a steady rate. If you argue that Robin would have plenty of energy to heal a rabbit if he had enough to heal a colt, know that Robin wanted the colt alive. It's one of the reasons I included that mantra. Robin steadied his mind to what he needed to do, and should the creature die then so be it.

I seem to be muddling you with magpies, so: At the time of the severed-leg experiment with the rabbit, was Robin capable of draining just enough life from a subject to make them tired, yes or no?
7030660 Yes, he was.
7030805
What a shame. (and thank you)
Grima is now on the playing field. Here is hoping Celestia doesn't try and kill him using the local star. Because that would just annoy him.
7023535 I read this story because I think its very well written and you are an amazing author. That being said, the Lord PoPo evil laugh and what Robin may do in the future will probably give me nightmare fuel for the next week. Is it sad to say I'm addicted to this story and I wish for more?
Go Trixie! Crack his shell! Honestly, sir, if you don't want to do romance don't ship tease us. Having Trixie throw out chocolates after Valentine's Day is cruel to both her and us.
7185059 exactly my point in ur same words I'm not good but I'm very nitpicky
Interesting.
When's the next chapter? Or did you abandon this story...?
7338080 Abandon the story? I think not! I ran into numerous troubles within he past month. In fact, for most of that time I couldn't even get internet! I got everything up and running again though and I should be able to work on it now.
7339731 Sorry for accusing you...
It's good to know that the story is still being continued!
Is it weird that I keep expecting Tharja to show up?

Considering that she's pretty much known for being Robin's stalker, I keep thinking she going to make an appearance, either a as displaced or the real deal. In the latter case, I can imagine her love for Robin being so strong that it transcends dimensional boundaries and possibly even death itself.
I side with Iron Will on this one. Robin didn't look where he was going, and while I will not defend Iron Will's aggressive behavior, it wasn't much compared to the mental damage he obviously received. So yeah, I'm feeling sorry for him!
7365491 I feel guilty(sorta) for kina cracking up, but it was still kina hilarious!
He can channel even just the image of Grima. Well Fuck, I am really worried for that universe now.
