It has been one year since the invasion of Avol failed and the subsequent surrender of the dratali. Since then, the galaxy has seen peace like that which many had never seen. The races of Avol have been in negotiation with the races of the Alliance of Sapient Races. Now, Twilight Sparkle, her friends, and a few others are leaving their homeworld. While the others leave to forge a path in the stars for their fellow pony, Twilight returns to Earth with her boyfriend, Curt, to begin a project of her own; a guide to help ponies better adapt to very different culture.
Not long after their arrival on Earth, though, her plans take a dramatic turn. Between Curt's proposal to the discovery that humans have been developing magical abilities, the nightmare pony has her hooves full. No matter what, though, she was determined to come out on top, publish her book, teach a new race magic, marry the man of her dreams, and prove that even a nightmare's dreams can come true.

Right, finished, I've gotta say that it's starting a little safe as far as things go but that's far from a bad thing, after all, it's been maybe a year since I first read the original and I haven't had time to re-read so a 'where were we again' kind of chapter to start off is hardly the wrong move.

5634887 It's fine. All you need to do is be aware of a few. Sci-fi ponies, Technology vs Magic, First Contact Stories are all good. If you add it to just one good group and get enough attention, then it can grow fast. I think the people who run the groups can add stories they like to their own group. It was funny, because my one popular story got added to, like, twenty other groups just by magic.

Anyway, this one isn't going to be quite as dark as the last one, so there won't be what I would call a "downward spiral". It'll have dark moments, and, of course, plenty of action, but a lot of it will be slice-of-life and lighthearted fun

As for the chapter itself, it's nice and it's also good to see some humans developing actual magic. Also, having Curt say this to Twilight
It's a wonderful way to get Twilight more used to and accepting of who/what it is that she's become (don't know if this was done in the last few chapters, didn't notice it till now) but hearing those words from the man she loves is a surefire way to help her come to terms with it and hopefully come out even better on the other side thanks to it.
