Bazing

T

For my 18th birthday, my step-dad decided to take me shooting. It was fun, and I was surprisingly good at it. However, unfortunately for me, fate decided I wasn't meant for this world. Suddenly thrown into a strange jungle, where I try my hardest to find a way out.

Too bad for me, the jungle is too large, so I decide to settle down.

Honestly you need to work on the descriptions a fair bit. Getting an editor won't hurt.

Two survival things:
-In warmer seasons/climates rabbits and hares carry tularemia that can kill the crap out of someone.
-A hollowed branch would catch fire faster than boil water.

That said, I doubt most people will know that or care. :rainbowlaugh:

Edit:

As a whole, not bad though. To keep meet longer than an afternoon, your OC is going to need to figure out how to gut animals and smoke meat though. In warm temps like your setting, without gutting or preserving meat, it'll go rancid inside an afternoon. Day at max.

5913500 right I forget April in America is spring :/

5913500 Never had a problem with it myself. Cook it well enough and have a high enough natural resistance to disease coupled with a damn strong immune system, and although it ends up tasting awful, it is safe to eat.

7462512 Could just be a location thing. Up here in Alaska, it's a flat out don't eat them between April and September thing.

7462521 7462512 I've ended up going with 'all animals have an innate magic that prevents the meat from going off', which I'll explain next chapter (whenever that is, focusing on EoR's sequel atm)

I look forward to the continuation and more similar, good work...!👍👌
