This story has potential. Lots of potential.

So what is the pairing for this story? Really don't want to get into another story only to find out it's a lesbian pairing.

5538511 What's wrong with lesbian pairings?

5539370 Gay/lesbian pairings aren't my cup of tea, about as enjoyable as jerking off with sandpaper. Plus really don't want to read yet another "shit on Spike" story.

Hmmmm i want to continue reading but i also see spike in this. I hope this is like a herd story, read too many stories like this where Spike gets pushed aside like he's nothing.

this has potential to be really awesome. like say Trixie gets her wins or loses the fight. Trixie finds out about how spike is helping rarity and tries to convince spike to help her instead. (clop anybrony?)

Interesting start, lots of potential. Bringing up the comic plot point does a good job of setting them off on a morally even level. (Though given that Rarity is the POV character, Trixie seems more villainous than she is.) Not to mention they're both doing practically the same thing, so Rarity doesn't have that much room to complain.

The writing is very good. I'm interested in seeing where this is going.

5539435 Nothing wrong with personal taste. This is ultimately going to be Trixity, something I thought I'd noted in the header, but did not. Implication is not statement, and there are more than a few fics out there that don't lean the way they look at first glance. I've since fixed my cover notes and amended the first chapter to boot.

5539721 But on the same note, I don't plan on writing Spike off as some sort of comedy relief. Poor fella doesn't get near enough love and respect, and I aim to at least treat him right...even if he's not gonna get with Rarity by the end, unless something drastically changes.

5541453 This is exactly what I was going for; the two are pretty primed to clash but at their core, neither really has it out for the other. This first scene was just them meeting in far, far less than ideal circumstances.

After all, there is no memorable payoff that comes without adversity.

This is going to be a Rarixie, i look at your comment? yessss, i love to see unique Rarity pairing :) thank you so much Topside, you have me hooked.
