This is an interesting story I have to admit I'm curious about the creature and how it will meet Sombra.
I also have to wonder how they will explain to Celestia what happened.
Good chapter.
I do have to wonder what the Lurker will find and what's he's capable of. Since it's likely he knows old magic and it's likely very exotic it would be neat if he were to make minions of his own. Maybe like some kind of mist creature that is a bit fragile but can be pretty useful.
It would be interesting considering this is an ancient creature form an age likely long over where they haven't been active here for a long time. It would be interesting that the fact that he broke free and now is loose and active has a side effect of slowly it starts causing ancient allies and enemies to wake up. Like creatures that are neither good nor evil but each are powerful with their own goals.
But anyway this is interesting. I do have to wonder what's going to happen next.
I have to admit I like the mystery part of your story.
Check out this RP it's an MLP one but it involves a mysterious village on Equestria's boarders and for a long time it's been under the influence of a mysterious force.

Like any mystery, I've written in clues to who/what the Lurker is/was.
Hmm sombra had best not back stab the eldritch horror I feel that would end poorly for him. Also I wonder is the "Lurker" evil I can't quite tell he almost comes of as neutral to me someone who just dosent care but perhaps if the crystal ponies appear favrobanle he seems the type to perhaps side with them and he's not a grudge carrying type he just seems amoral not immoral if you know what I mean?
Im waiting for the dark and gore tag, not to get my hopes up in a story with just the two tags or very dark story progression.

I was going to read this story some time ago, but the fact that there are several easily-spotted errors in the synopsis alone turned me off.
I'm going to ignore that it this time and see just how bad (or possibly not) it really is.

You know this is really interesting. It would be fasinating since this is the Lurker's dreams as well that some things will slip out abou thimself.
It would be interesting if Luna also caught stuff that Lurker didn't intend like maybe images of allies and enemies.
I don't know why but I keep thinking of Nightmare from Danny phantom a creature that's litterally an embodyment of fear neither good nor evil. Like an alicorn with a flaming main and fangs as well as bat wings.
It would be awesome if she even got a look at something like a fight Lurker once witnessed like a being encased of some kind of armor with fire sprouting from every opening as it launches massive fire attack's on another being that looks like it's composed of delicate crystals as it shapes crystals and launches them into attacks then Luna notices that their looks like Golems made of both Fire and Crystal surrounding the two locked in combat. And Lurker saying, "Can't those two go more than 15 minutes without getting into a fight?" in a strangely calm way like a battle like this is a common occurrence between two.
But anyway with delving into memories and the pair are sharing minds things are likely going to slip with to Luna especially since Lurker is sleeping even though he's aware of what's going on.
Interesting chapter.
The golem intros was interesting.
I will also say that it's likely that Lurker would also be interested in anything that can likely point out if their is anyone he knows or any friends of his that are still active but likely hidden.
Although one big thing about Sombra is that considering everything to get the kingdom out does he have many other options? Although I suppose Their maybe some but...it would likely be very difficult since no one really knows just how long until the Dog returns.
Although I can picture Sombra really wanting to know what caused Cerberus to leave it's post. Likely because the only thing that could likely come to mind would be possibly someone else who was sealed away managed to escape and the dog was trying to track it or him.
That would likely be a fairly worrying thought. If it's a creature cunning and smart enough to actually loss the hound of Tartaris it could lead to problems depending on it's identity.
Although I will also say another reason the City could have been trapped in Tartaris could be that since 2 unicorns are using the magic and they were under great stress at the time they could have accidentally messed up a bit on the spell or put to much power into it and caused that by accident.
Really hard to do but possible depending on how powerful the Royal sisters are.

I find myself mildly annoyed how this turned out. It was a good story but what gets me is this was a clean win for evil. All of the nicer or noble characters got screwed over and The Lurker got everything without much problem. And if i miss my guess Cadence is with Sombra's foal, Luna's going crazy/corrupt again, and whole lot of ponies are dead who didn't deserve it.
sigh, I guess I'm a bit upset for such a downer ending.
I accept this ending as logical but I'm a bit annoyed you didn't identify whether he actually picked up the book for Twilight or not. Minor detail that makes me go, "Did he do it or not?" I don't like waiting for a sequel for a minor detail that would have taken a sentence.

Nigga, When Sombra speaks I think of the voice you intend him to have. Sindri has such an evil voice, smooth as silk and alluring as wine.
With Dugore, I think of Thorgar the Blooded One from Battle March. A strong, cunning, bloodthirsty champion of Chaos.
I initially thought the Lurker as the Daemon from DOW 1 at the end, but now, seeing how is demeanor is much lighter than I initially thought, it became a bit neutral.
