Also I did not notice any grammar/spelling errors so either they are not there or are just very minor.
1 thing you could do is making it a bit less of a wall of text.
For example some empty lines after a few lines
Also a suggestion.
Since you say this is part of a series called 15 slices you could call the story 15 slices and name the chapters the way you named this story.

The more I look at it, the more I get it. I need to think more FF.net and less book editig when I publish here. I've been writing and printing novels recently which requires a different level of formatting. The indents probably won't go away, though.
