Applejack has a strong kick which she uses to buck apples off her apple trees. Fluttershy couldn't fly through the magically created gale, so she hoped that Applejack could kick her there. After sorting out the language, that happened (hooray!).
Personally, I subscribe to the belief that pegasi magic helps to shield them from injury from sudden impacts or crashes. Exhibit A through Z is Rainbow Dash's borderline immunity to injury despite her frequent crashes. Fluttershy's gonna be rather sore, but she'll be fine (mental scarring from this whole jaunt aside).

I, uh, didn't post this with their premission, but I'm hoping that the old adage "It's sometimes better to beg forgiveness than ask permission" comes into play here. If there's any objection (by FiM Fiction or Ms. Olsen) I'm fine with taking the picture down. I suppose I should post a link in the story description. . . or just, go ask permission huh?

I must admit it's an interesting set of developments. Able is probably the most surprising part, and I hope this picks up again so that we get an explanation of him. To say nothing of the interactions between Twilight and Sparks directly. I think Sparks and RD could have a lot of a fun together.

You Sir are nothing short of brilliant. You have created a mythos story that has utterly enthralled me. It stays true to every rule that makes for an amazing mythos story, from Twilight's failing sanity to the reactions of purw terror fron her frienda. To have mixed it perfectly with mlp without going into the realm of hentai makes you a great writer in my book. This story is definitely going to my favorites collection. The only thing left to say is

6296501 I love a good cthulhu mythos/horror story and that is what you have done. I try to find as many works like this as can, unfortunately thanks to a heavy influence from anime/manga many mythos stories I run into have just been an excuse for porn. It really ticks me off that it's been done so much that it is considered a norm by the outside viewer instead of the true sense of fear, dread, and the knowledge if being an otherwise inconsequential speck in the cosmos that the genre is supposed to convey. Sorting the jewels from the smut is more than a bit annoying. But when I do find one as good as this I can sit back content and simply enjoy it for what it is.

Yet another amazing chapter. The portrait as the end now has my undivided attention, reminds me of a story in The Taint by Brian Lumley.
Yeah, Sparks totally rules. Absolutely loving her so far. Knew she's get along great with Dash. Gotta feel a little sorry for Mocha at the beginning there, but she seems to be coming around.
Now that we've had comedy, let's return to the cosmic horrors.
I can see Sparks become annoying sooner or later, if the character isn't reined in a little. She's the kind of person who's loud and obnoxious regardless of situation or context and who tries to dominate every conversation. That kind of thing gets unbearable eventually. It's something to watch out for.

6893428 I think it depends on how many chapters your gonna have gore in versus the level of gore. Like if you have 2 chapters of gore like this current one and one other then don't put put the tag. However if you more than 3 or 4 gore chapters or have even one chapter that reads like the Evil Dead , Hellrasier , Dead Alive/Braindead and Saw your going to want to use the tag.

6939285 I thought the live crabs were a nice touch. I mean, sure, you're puking because some ancient mad sorcerer has finally ascended as some dark warped version of an alicorn and his very magic rots your soul, but it's kinda neat, you know?
Glad it was the 'right' kind of messy though. I'm often back tracking and slapping edits into place as I see them, so it's a rather haphazard process. The next chapter will be... uh, sometime. I think we've all learned that I am not to be trusted with hard predictions or dates.
