I enjoyed reading this story. It was clean, thoughtful, and moving. It doesn't have a lot of detail, but I consider that a plus - it makes me wonder how the Mane 6 died, and what happened. Sometimes less really is more.

I see on my calendar the UK has something called "Remembrance Day". I'm guessing that you wrote this in response to that? If so, it was a good idea. Telling the story from the eyes of a young pony was a smart decision.

Anyway, thanks.

I am Canadian, and on November 11th we have "Remembrance Day". Starting from November 1st to November 12th, we wear felt poppy pins on our jackets/sweaters/t-shirts as a sign to remember those who have died in service and respect people who are still in the service today. And of course mark the end of WWI. Probably very similar to the UK, as I think they wear poppies too.

Thanks for your comment!

That makes sense - I didn't know that (I've never been to Canada). That sounds like a very worthy tradition. I'm glad their sacrifices are being remembered.

glad you are still around Sister mike, and as a fellow Canadian, I salute all veterans for their courage.
