I've always wondered how ponies add a pinch of salt if they don't have anything to pinch with.
A pony with pinchers? Hang on, I need to go write something down...
I'm not even really sure what qualified as an egg. So I didn't know how to score it. Also, the first egg was a real bear, because I have partial color blindness in the red/green area and it took a lot of focus to separate the things.

I have never been that well versed in visual-cryptography so this was interesting.
Throughout the story, I could simply tell there was something going on about the text. I copuld point out the intentional aquardness in difrent places, but I couldnt figure out why.

I found the first two, and then I sort of failed and crash/burned... Maybe it has to do with the fact that I am trying to do three types of homework at once while doing this?

A slightly awkward sentence, can't tell whether it has something to do with an egg or not.

The bright moon thing came back up. The black clouds is new, but the sentence is slightly off.

I ain't even gonna try. I got the first two, read the story, kind of shook my head in silent wonder of my own stupidity, and looked at the comments.

I don't know if these two or eggs, but:
I found three smiles in the last paragraph. In other words, "Smile, Smile, Smile."
The 5th paragraph, if you start with the first letter, then use the last letters(except dinged.), you can spell Tardy.
I also found small, nearly colorless 0s, three times, got the obvious ones, and thought 399 was another EGG, and DISCORD!
I wasn't sure what to look for, but these were the first things I got.
1. Obvious
2. 'Discord' in the first letter of every sentence.
3. There are double words everywhere the sentence skips. ex. the
4. Lyrics to making cupcakes from show
5. Every letter just after a 'c' is blue
6.Words with double letters in green
7. Any word after 'the' is cyan
8. The spacing suddenly becomes larger
9. Words missing in sentence
10. Purple bit is in Iampic pentameter?

Jesus Christ, am I ever disappointed. I read. A lot. It's really the only thing I do. I've had a college-level reading level since I was twelve, yet I couldn't find a single thing, other than the in the first sample paragraph.
Sigh. Well, this really took my self esteem and threw it out the window. Good story though, I'll give it a thumb :P

In the first couple paragraphs, it keeps repeating about how beautiful the day is. I don't know if that's an egg or not. I also google searched 101741515399 and found an egg. The colors remind me of ROY. G. BIV, ecxept that there is a grey in a paragraph, and there is not indigo or yellow. Those are two, i'm to lazy to put the others I found.
And how could Twilight trot back into her house to blow out a lantern if she wasn't by her house, according to one of the paragraphs.

Nobody got this one, but the entire purple paragraph never uses the letter "e". Which would be almost impossible to avoid had I not done it on purpose, hence why it is an egg.

I found 5 before reading the comments. I have no bloody idea what a palindrome is though. And I'm not counting the tiny pic things, since they were deleted and the image is clearly there. Including them, my total score was 10. either way, 5 off from max. Not bad.
