Spike the Dragon has something he has been hiding from Twilight Sparkle. After hiding it from her for years, he feels he can longer keep it a secret and must tell her.

So wait are you saying that Spike is the reason, that Twilight meet her Ponyville friends? If this is the case then why is she upset, this should be something she thanks Spike about, unless this is insinuating that Twilight only went along with friendship because she felt she had to, and not because she wanted it, and she just found out from Spike that there was a chance that she didn't need to.

5220870 (inception bwah) BWAAAAH

5220870 The idea is that her experiences in Ponyville are based on a lie that not only Spike told, because he felt it was something Twilight needed, but also because Princess Celestia went along with it, who also felt the same way as Spike. Not liking that she has been lied to by not only her number one assistant, but also one of the most important ponies in her life, someone that she felt she could trust implicitly, Twilight pops a clog when she realises that her not only could her whole life could have turned out differently, but also the friends she made, the title of princess she earned, the lessons she learned about friendship, reuniting Celestia with her sister, while all very important, are the ripple effects from one lie. Maybe when she calms down and thinks about the good that has happened because of this lie, then she'll thank Spike.

I thought it was the time Spike ate that dark magic book.

They did what they had to and it worked out well. If that clashes with her grade school moral code, that is simply too bad.

Maybe when she calms down and thinks about the good that has happened because of this lie, then she'll thank Spike.

I think that adding that scene would have helped explain a lot about what actually transpired, and would have presented some closure to the work. I hope you'll consider adding it.

5222093 Maybe if I wrote a sequel/follow-up. But the problem is that this was only supposed to be a flash-fiction story and the original version, in my opinion, was a lot better at only four hundred some words. Due to needing a minimum of 1,000 words to publish works on this site, the story was retyped to that it fit the requirements.

5223523 Gonna agree with him it kinda just stops mid thought. Think like your watching a good movie and right as the action gets going the movie ends.

OR if yoou have seen it think of the end of the last Hobbit movie. If you have seen it know this story ended just like that one did. IF you haven't go watch it.

5238542 Seen the first two Hobbit movies and am waiting for part three. If I can think of something to continue this story, I will make a sequel. But I am currently busy with other things, including college, so all I can ask is for yours and other reader's patience.

Addendum: Changed the status from completed to hiatus. Hope this helps for the moment.

5238570 its cool its still good. just leaves me hanging.

5238574 Is that a good thing or bad thing?

5238584 eh it makes me want to know what happens next so good if you do something later bad if not.

5238598 I'm sure something will come to me. No story ever written is ever complete and can always be added to in some way.

I guess the real issue I have is that it's not really stated exactly WHAT words he changed and/or added in. I pick up the implication that it's the 'Make some friends!' line. In that case, it actually picks up a deeper meaning since it would appear that Spike was the one to try to force Twilight out of her shut-in ways to actually socialise. Once Twilight calms down, she'll realise it all worked out for the best. After all, friendship is magic, so Spike as her assistant merely set her to studying the most powerful magic of them all!

:moustache: Just as planned!
