I rather liked this, for some odd reason. I'm not entirely sure if it was the writing style itself or what, but... this was good.

5214503 Really? Ha, I didn't think it would be any good. Thanks!

Now I want to see the ponies eat it.
What's with all the Button Mash stories today?

5214697 I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Needs epilogue of him being run out of town. :pinkiecrazy:

5214697 As far as I know, Obsolescence did it. Somehow.

This is horrifying and beautiful all at the same time. Bravo. I'm kinda shocked something like this came out of such a goofy idea.

What the hell. c.c I wish you'd left his name alone; mentioning Nashville by itself would have been enough to explain the title. And might I suggest "hadn't always been" instead of "didn't used to be"?

Hap

5231656 Yeah, I had no idea what anyone else was going to do, or what was expected, and I just kinda assumed that I'd change his name to match the title. It felt weird to read, but I figured done was done. I'd thought about going back and changing it.

Having been to Tennessee, I feel that "didn't used to be" better fits the Nashville theme. I know it's not correct, but neither is "used to could" and you don't have to be there long to hear that, either.

oh, hm <.< Hadn't considered that. That said, it's an awfully convoluted construction. I hear people use it around here and it just never sounds good. "Used to could" on the other hand stands out as being a regionalism.

Hap

5233057 Why not. I changed it to Mash. I like it better that way.
