It was a combination of all three factors; each alone wouldn't have warranted a downvote...
But with about a grammar error per paragraph, plus a bear skin blanket (Fluttershy is crying), plus tell-y exposition in the first few paragraphs... it all adds up to 'nope'.

Magic, this ponies are not like the real life ponies, and by that they may be able to conceive a foal beetween two of the same gender, more magic, adoption, even more magic... and there surely a lot of other ways to do it, just need to search in this site for fics about it.

if I ever found out my girlfriend was barren I would be sad but still having them is enough. Adoption is also in view, which it would be a little depressing to not have a blood related child but none the less 
Besides the fact that I'm sad, it's a good story. I just hope Twilight uses an unbarren spell, if that makes any sense. I really want Rarity to carry Twilight's foal. Like dear celestia, please!!!

If Rarity is infertile I imagine that any spell that would give her male genitalia, she would still be infertile. Afterall, if there was a spell that could make her fertile again she would have just used that.

Aside from grammar errors, which I really don't mind anyway, I'd say you have the basis for a pretty good headcanon or other fics.

One obvious answer, Discord. One snap of the fingers and either Rarity is no longer barren or she's been equipped with male genitalia carrying her DNA allowing her to impregnate Twilight. Not the cleanest of solutions, but it would work.
