Nice and eerily similar to an idea I've been brainstorming for a couple years now. So similar that it's hard to avoid gushing on and on about it.

Let's just say that time cycles, the heat death of the universe, the death of gods who personify aspects of existance, and lonely gods who remain throughout it all are all present.

Thanks all. To put it simply, The Stars Remain Eternal was a phrase that flits around my head as elusive as a glimmer on a streambed. When I caught it, over a thousand words came to the page I had to post it once it was finished. So there we go. The endless cycle theory is a favourite of mine, it seems more poetic anyway. Who knows, maybe each cycle is slightly different?
