This is very funny, but the timeline does not work:
The sirens did their song on TaCoTuesDay. Princess Twilight Sparkle arrives on Wednesday. The Mane Event happens Saturday.
Some believe that the time in the human world is different, but I do not see it:
The seaponies see the events of the end of the first movie from some restaurant. They go to CanterLot High after all of Season # 04.
They probably spent that time forging documents and researching. As it turns out, forging documents was a big waste of time:
Princess Twilight Sparkle stumbles into CanterLot High. She runs for the FallFormal. She falls under suspicion of vandalism. All of this time, neither Principle Celestia nor Vice Principal notice that she is not a student. The hippocampii could have just walked in off of the street the Monday after the Fall Formal and none would notice that they are not students.

It is too bad that you did not see it in theaters. Around here, no pony played the 1st movie. This time, only 1 theater played the 2nd movie only 3 times in the whole county. It took me almost an hour to get to the theater. In town, we have a theater 5 minutes away. Hasbro has no right to complain about ponies watching the movie online because many want to see it on the big screen but have no big screen playing it anywhere near them.
It is too bad that you did not catch it on the big screen because the soundsystem alone is worth the price of admission. Headphones just do not do the music justice. The THX1138 is worth the price of admission.
About the reformed seahorses, they end up powerless and run away and Princess Twilight Sparkle goes back home, so next TaCoTuesDay, neither Sonata Dusk nor Princess Twilight Sparkle are at CanterLot High.
It is too bad that you did not see the movie. This is my favorite song of the the Dazzlings (the group Adagio Dazzle, Sonata Dusk, and Aria Blaze form) performed:
