When Gilda comes back to Ponyville, Rainbow Dash finds herself in a moment of weakness -- it's hard to break bad habits, after all, especially when you don't really want to. But when she keeps on going back, no matter what, what happens when the lies she's been telling herself quit working?

Well, this is different from what I usually write. :twilightoops: This story was written in a little under two hours, with little to no editing at all, so if you see any spelling errors or want to tell me how to make this better (or tell me how much it sucks), please do. It helps me a lot, even with casual pieces such as this!

And Rainbow Dash did try to convince herself to go away, she truly, truly did, pushing away all of those memories of summer nights and of comforting, innocent words. She pushed it all away then, like she had always meant to, like what she should have alway done.

Alway?
Other that, good work!

Thank you for pointing that out to me, and for your kind words. :pinkiehappy:

Fantastic

Is there any... I mean ANY chance this gets a sequel with a happy ending/redemption ? :fluttershysad:

Thank you so so so much! :rainbowkiss:

To be honest, I don't really know of anything that could happen in a sequel, but if you have any ideas feel free to give me some! Maybe something from Gilda's point of view? I won't guarantee anything, but I promise you I'll try to at least think of something. :scootangel:

I find the general idea of the abusive or even destructive relationship between them very interesting.

So if I’m pathetic, then I don’t know what you are --

“What the hay happened to you, Gilda?”

Questions like this are perfect sequel-material.

Gilda obviously took Dash for granted, or even less, but why did she stay near a town she hated with ponies she didn't care for if not for being near Dash?

maybe finally losing her, or learning that Dash really felt for her all this time could make her realize what she had and lost (threw away?), or open up about what actually DID happen to her :rainbowhuh:

5115034 I'll be honest, I wouldn't really want a sequel where RD and Gilda completely go back to being friends/lovers. Especially not with how G was depicted here. I would however like to see a follow up involving RD being comforted by one of her friends, be in in a shipping way or just a friendship way. Poor girl deserves a hug after this.:pinkiesad2:

But anyway, I really like this fic. You handled RD and Gilda's relationship in an interesting manner, and all the drama was handled nicely.

This fic was almost really good. I really like the concept, I'm a big fan of quick 'n' nasty sadfics.

What really hurts this story is the prose you use. it's elaborate to the point you seem to lose control of it, and parts of the story become rather hard to understand. Now, I do love flowery language in stories, but here it sort of jumbles up, makes the series of events hard to follow some times.

You got a thumbs up from me, and I wish you the best of luck in future writings :pinkiehappy:
