Just trying to be a better writer...and also trying to write more often.

Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash go through some tough times as young fillies in flight school. Contains bullying, tragedy, sadness, friendship and most importantly, love.

I'm enjoying this so far. It's simple, yet emotionally powerful. Looking forward to reading the rest.

Thank you! I like your avatar, by the way :3

Ah, a sleepover at Rainbow Dash's. I like it already. We need more explorations of her house, but her parents' house also works nicely since it's still in the skies.

So far, the only problem that I have with this story is the lack of focus on how Fluttershy was bullied. These scenes would be more beautiful if we had more feels of sympathy for Fluttershy. Maybe we'll see that in later chapters.

I had no words. Some of it was a lie, he still probably would've beaten me up anyway, but...Fluttershy was right. If she had stopped him, and fought back, I wouldn't be here with a broken wing, a slightly blackened eye, and a ton of pain.

Okay, things like these really annoy me. After what we had seen happen to Rainbow Dash, this dialogue makes no sense. If Fluttershy had fought back, then the bullies would be attacking her instead of Rainbow, meaning Fluttershy would be the one with the broken wing, gashes, and all the other cuts you described. How people can say you should've fought back after what they clearly saw happened just really annoys me, and sounds like a big lie.

Sorry, but this story made no more sense to me at the end there. While it is beautiful to see that standing up for yourself could lead the message that others will follow suit and stand up to bullying, it just doesn't make any sense after seeing what happened to Rainbow Dash when she was standing up for Fluttershy. The story doesn't convince me that Fluttershy was able to stand up to a bully, when that bully attacked Rainbow Dash in defense. There was no reason why he didn't do the same to Fluttershy. And the fact that the story doesn't focus on that scene makes it even less believable.

Sorry, but this story started out nice and sweet, but after a while to me it just fell apart with its logic and lack of showing.

This was... nice. This was good. This was inspiring. I almost shed some tears. The way you show Rainbow Dash caring for her friend and being by her side always is really great. I loved this story, it made me smile. :raritywink:

5449120 Thanks. I won't be making any more of this story but I'm in the process of writing another FlutterDash story that is a little reminiscent to this one, but is, in my opinion, much sadder. Hopefully I'll have it finished before I go back to my home, but if not, I'll try to get it done there. I'm currently writing two stories at once, 'cause I'm trying to get a whole lot done in one day. (I go back home tomorrow).

Even though we had our good times together, school was still rough on Fluttershy. The insults were getting worse, and they started getting physical with the shy pony. Fluttershy's worst fear was to get hit, by anyone or anything. And one day, she did. One of the kids knocked her to the side, and she went flailing to the floor, while everyone laughed. I could see her about to cry. I took the initiative, and I quickly picked her up, and got her out of that situation as quick as possible. When we were at a safe spot, a deserted hallway that no pony ever walked in, Fluttershy sat down against the wall, put her head in her lap, and cried to next period. I felt very sorry for her.

I wish you'd elaborate on Fluttershy being harrassed; show not tell. Still great story tho
