This reminds me a bit of a fic I was once intending on writing except focused around Scootaloo rather than focused around Sweetie Bell. I'm impressed with your ability. You seem to have a natural author's talent for dialog. Personally, I find writing dialog endlessly tedious, but you seem to have be able to manage it with ease. I am looking forwards to the next installment so please keep up the great work!
As an opening chapter, it's pretty good. The summary alone got me interested, and as far the chapter itself... well let's just say it lives up to it's 'Sad' tag.
Not really much else to say other than it flowed nicely, everyone seems in character and I'm so looking forward to see how this plays out!
