Inspired by the Song by Johnny Cash with the same name, a young stable dweller takes to the wasteland in the worst way. He will lose his friends, family, and himself as he slowly realizes that life, isn't meant to be fair, hindsight is 20/20, and one can hurt...without feeling pain. I appologize in advance to kkat if I get this character wrong. I revised this half way through. So, less Johnny, more kkat. If you've read the story though, I feel the song and this scharacter are scaringly similiar.

I liked it, but you might want to go back and edit it. About 2/3 way through it all became italicized.
Other than that, it was a good story and fit the song well.

I'm fully aware, I just prefer the Cash version. I don't mean to take artistic property from nine inch nails. Just sayin

Hey I'm working on a FOE side story and I was inspired by one of the Johnny Cash songs too. He sure is inspiring, eh?

Well burma is right, it's a nine inch nails song, but I drew the inspiration from the cash version. I would say he's about 20%:rainbowdetermined2: more inspiring for writers than the next leading dead musician... R.I.P man in black.

Interesting, but tons of typos. :) Good read though! It really highlights that there had to be so much going wrong for his plan to fail...

Nice job my fellow author.

Have this dislocated thumb that is seemingly pointed upwards
in a gesture of acceptance.

Also, remember that FoE I wanted to restart?

I did, and I published it. So go look... If you would?

The difference is that Trent reznor sings it as a warning
Johnny cash sings it as absolution
