I've never really read Rainbow Factory, but I've got a pretty good idea what it's about from what I've read in different places. So I'm going to go ahead and read this one, as it seems like it's going to be pretty good.
I just hope that Rainbow (who's actually my second-favorite pony (the No. 1 spot on that goes to Applejack)) gets her just comeuppance at the end of this.
People who keep making 'sequels' to Rainbow Factory are killing the main story, in my opinion at least. Too many sequels and own takes spoiling the original.
Oooooooo! Good!good!good! Keep going! keep going!! Cause other then rainbow factory and Pegasus device there's nothing good to read about rainbow factory.

5274319 I personally dislike RD the most, yet I know how to write characters. If RD is your fav, then you would probably hate Rainbow Factory. In my eyes, it didn't twist the character at all - It totally rewrote her character. It portrayed her worse than the show does in my opinion. I hope I write this to you liking ^^
5274330 If you think I'm killing the main story, then I feel FANTASTIC. I hated than fan fiction. The plot was amazing, but they pulled it off HORRIBLY! The cussing was horrible, RD treated Scootaloo like just another member of the flock - I get what the author was trying to do, but they didn't capture the sisterly relationship of those two at all. Loyalty was non-existent. I plan to portray them better. If you love the story, congrats - But I cannot agree with you. I love the fan spin offs because I feel they do it better. As such, I decided to join the ranks. I do hope you will give this fan fiction a chance.

As for hating Rainbow Factory, like I said, I've never really read it, but I know enough of what it's about (thanks to a comic someone did of it over at DA and the thing from creepywiki(?)) to know that I don't want to read it. Like at all!
And the same goes for Sergeant Sprinkles' fic, Cupcakes. I've read just enough about it to know that I will never read it, either!
(Pinks torturing and murdering one of her best friends so she can turn her into cupcakes. Uh...no.)
I have enjoyed several of the spin-offs/"sequels", though. I especially like The Cupcake Chronicles by MilesPrower06. It's quite good!
Well, you're right there, on both those counts. I mean, I know that Dash can be kinda hard-nosed and harsh sometimes on the show (the Season 1 episode Dragonshy, where she kept harping on the notion that they should've left Fluttershy behind in Ponyville...and we all know how that one turned out!), but, from what I know, she's nowhere near as dark and twisted as she is in the original Rainbow Factory.
And I'm sure that you will. I'm really looking forward to the next chapter!

I don't think you did a very good job of incorporating the Pegasus Device lyrics into this fic, it would have been very good if done well, but it just seems shoehorned in here rather than given the right context.
I'm also not really sure what to think about how you've broken away from and contradicted the storyline of the original fics.
I think you've tried to be too ambitious with the references and symbolism, but aside from that this isn't bad.

5628990 THANK YOOU. Even when I do swear, I usually censor it, either with narration or with a 'spoiler' box. It's so immersion breaking when a fandom that doesn't normally swear has something with SO MUCH SWEARING! It's one of the reasons I disliked Rainbow Factory so much.

I imagine a few of the dislikes might have come from people whom instantly downvoted it. Namely because it's an unofficial sequel to the Rainbow Factory, so it's likely to receive some negativity from those who don't wish to read it but are going to downvote anyways.
