That other pony whom the burden will be passed onto might need a job. Twilight might want to find something she has a comparative advantage at. Accounting, managing, or even something more basic like data entry or secretarial work. With her qualifications she should be able to get a skilled job without much trouble, assuming Princess Celestia has been keeping the money supply up.
