This is pretty cool. Though it doesn't go with Flash's real personality, it talks about the bond between Celestia, Twilight, and Spike that I really see as real. I've always thought that Celestia was a mother figure to her, so it doesn't surprise me in this story. I really think you should make an extra piece with Twilight's side of the date though, for I believe that would be hilarious.

Yeah, I tried to talk about the relationship between Twi, Celly, Spike because I do think it's real and sweet, and it also gives Celestia more of a reason to be protective of Twilight and send Flash to the sun.
As for Twilight side of the date? Maybe, who knows? I made this because of a spark of inspiration. I might do Twi's side in the future.
Also, seriously, I really am glad you enjoyed this because I thought everyone would hate it, so thank you very much.

Eh; not a bad story, but not all that interesting of one either. I think it would have been funnier if it had turned out that Spike and Celestia had misunderstood everything they saw, and Twilight had actually enjoyed the date. Or maybe if they had tried to sabotage the date, but had accidentally made Flash look good by doing so.

Yeah, I get that you wanted to hate on Flash, and I'm as okay with that as anyone is, but this story just seemed to lack substance. Hating on Flash is fine, but that's all this story was. Even just expanding on Spike and Celestia's spying could have helped. Maybe you could have written out the entire date with their commentary.
It doesn't really matter what (as long as it's good), but this story just needs something more.

I've seen Flash as two things: bland (for the entirety of the first Equestria Girls movie and his cameos in the series) and an unapologetic jerk (the second half of Rainbow Rocks, in which he makes Twilight cry, but never once offers a real apology to her after he's freed from the Dazzlings' control).
I have to say, though...I can see him as arrogant now...
